£1000 gaming build help

you can stack them all up into one PSU molex connector.

so put male into female into male into female etc, then you can put this big daisy chain into one psu male molex connector.

ahh very nice thanks. Just put a GT220 gcard in whilst mine turns up still so I can still set the PC up. The cable just reaches (and I mean JUST) over the top of the gt220 so the 580 I've opted for (yup I went 580 as I'm gonna get a 3D monitor at some point in the near future to go along side the dell one :D) wont fit without that extension cable lol. Got so many cables coming now though its abit daft. Extra SATA, molex to sata power and now the 8pin ATX12v extension -.-

Looks like I also have a problem with lack of female molex connectors -.- I've got a dual sata to molex splitter which would be perfect for my 2 hdds but it has a male adapter on it and the PSU has 0 female molex connectors. Great lol

Dont think any PSU has female molex connectors.

WAIT, you got this - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-053-AK&groupid=1929&catid=153&subcat= - which connects to the PSU Sata connector and provides a PSU male molex connector, not the other way around.

You want the other way around - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-037-OK&groupid=1929&catid=153&subcat=

Don't worry mate, bought one of those yesterday and it was dispatched earlier today:

Posting this from the new build now. Can't believe how fast the SSD actually is! Not set up the RAID yet due to not having enough sata power leads and using a god awful graphics card until the new one arrives also lol.

Pictures of most of the kit. PC appears to be fully up and running now so time for the tests lol. I managed to set up RAID in windows 7 using disk management and it appears to be working as the write speed for the hard drives is 240mb with a 237mb read speed which is about right for the hard drives I've chosen (and that write speed is twice as fast as my SSD)

Can't believe how much of a difference the SSD makes to actually doing work. Its great to be able to open any file you want instantly, including all of the programs lol. Word on my MBP (which is a 2010 top model 15 inch one) takes around 10 seconds to start just for a blank document, this just does it instantly.

Oh and I definitely need to sort out some cable management before I take an inside of the PC shot haha :P
