£1000 hoover

I dont have the guts to do this but **** me thats the most dumb thing I've seen - wtf can that do that a tesco value cleaner cant!

why do these "35 year guarantees" cost so much! £6000 upvc windows? now vacuum cleaners! what next!? £300 tooth brush!

iirc, you can only by a kirby from a door to door rep who will come and demo it to you in your own house

they are very pushy salesman that dont take no for an answer.

£995 is a bit OTT if you ask me. A £200 Miele might have been a better buy.

Probably the worst vacuum-cleaners I've come across have to be Dyson's (this is in comparison to our £125 10-year old Miele). I always find them to be totally useless, their attachments are pretty poor, awful suction, look ugly as anything and command a premium for being 'trendy'. Clever marketing from the original designer, fools pretty much everyone into thinking they're the best type of vacuum-cleaner you can get.

According to the website, that model comes with LED headlights to brighten "even the darkest corners" and requires only a "featherlike touch" to push due to the self-drive.

o.O

Clearly worth the money :/

meh. Granted VC don't seem to last very long, usually down to use ie plastic clips breaking. But £1K? Got a Vax and that cost £65, had it about 2 years.

Similar to Bryston poweramp, yep it's got 25 years warranty but by that time I'd probably just buy a new one.
