People who game on consoles would call us all idiots for spending what we do on a single GPU. I have no idea why the OP has taken the stick he has in the first page of this thread.
I'm more interested in what is causing the mGPU issues with Pascal, particularly before I end up buying a pair of 1080, or ti or Titans or whatever.
well ive given up.
what i did was:
Un-install geforce experience
Applied the SLI settings in nvidia control panel (maximise 3d performance)
And just to confirm again I pulled out the 2nd 1070 and did the:
1440p absolute max settings
GTAV Benchmark
Witcher 3 Gameplay on the exact same scene, results were
On a single 1070 witcher 3 i get 55 to 62 FPS in the forest area
GTAV benchmark I get 50 to 60 fps max
On 1070 SLI its around the same, but some times a few more fps around 3 to 5 more
But im not on my own, ive checked 1070 SLI benchmarks from OC3D and the d
ifference between one 1070 and 1070 sli is absolute minimal
I went sli because my previous 980ti sli experience was amazing and fantastic, thinking I would get the same and
more with 1070s but it wasn't to be.
its certainly down to drivers and optimisations, nothing else can be done
