On normal bike 2 days ago just walking on path. One what said i will fight you for a fiver was on his own coming up on path. He was swerving and almost hit a push chair and then saw me. He did a wheel and slammed down right next to me. I was just thinking hope your tire explodes as i wouldnt help you.

:O

its just the built up areas or tight alleyways to be honest

Saying that i do ride my roadbike quite quickly around cardiff, although im on the roads where cycling is more accepted with the traffic.

Not on side alleys or side pedestrian paths where there are many people walking

I hate people who just ride around with balaclavas on using illegally tuned ebikes.

We used to have a bunch who wondered around the footpaths behind the houses, sometimes skii masks etc.

It seems to have died off now, probably because some of the neighbours took matters in to their own hands. The thugs are brave when they know the law will protect them, not so much once that barrier is removed. Not suprising vigilantism is on the rise in the UK.

Avoid them if you can, try to be non-confrontational, and only use violence in self-defence if attacked. Easier said than done.

I appreciate these are kids, but being non-confrontational only emboldens them. I am not saying that adults should beat up kids but I wholeheartedly condone standing your ground with them where possible.

I am next month but further into it lol. It only place i could get in short notice. Its only gone like this the last 3 years and last 6 month just rocketed. Im from west Yorkshire and now my town is in top 20 of worst places to live and is getting worse year by year. My brother thinking of selling up and selling business and moving at some point and said i can go with him a long with parents. Until then im stuck here.

Get them in my area too, usually just causing issues in shops though nicking.
This is why I think face coverings should be banned outright in 2025,there's no place for them in our society.

I did shout back after 5th time or so and one stud back shouting fight me then. He wanted me to go to him but i walked off.
not sure if i said but 2 nights ago a staff member in bookies who i talk to said they did it to him in town centre on way home at 21:00. 12 or 13 year olds and ended up calling him a sissy boy for not saying anything back. Geeze i was in bed at that time at that age not in town centers intimidating people. When caught if caught parents should be punnished with a fine or even prison if not aressting scum backs like that.

If you're on your own and can't handle yourself, confronting them is often a recipe for disaster, as it's exactly what they're looking for. A couple of people around here have tried that before and got battered. Only one case went to court and the outcome was pathetic considering the damage done.

Some of these fifteen year olds are six feet tall and won't think twice about assaulting you if you offend or threaten them. If they're anything like the ones around this way, they've grown up in rough areas and been in lots of fights. This then puts you in a fight or flight situation and the former is likely to go very badly for most people, even if you "win". Even if you try to run away after confronting them, they will probably catch you.

I think different groups are being described in this thread. Some are just troublemakers nicking things from shops and just being a general nuisance, and others are looking to fight adults to show how tough they are.

Its actually facebook fault for advertising it a couple of month back. I saw an article saying its the new past time as gangs of youths going round to people on there own intimidating some and jumping others for fun of it. They would have seen this and thought yeah thats a good idea.

Saw other week where an elderly was targeted by them and police didnt do anything until one day they decided to throw a fire work threw letter box and he died due to smoke. They probably got away with that too as it didnt say out come.

And this is the crux. They're afforded more protection than their victims.
Yes, it's the protection on the basis of age that for cases like this needs to be removed. Same for drug offences. They are just going to keep causing problems, the law should be able to get them off the streets.

Apologies for picking your two posts, nothing specific but they get to the point of the issue.

Not sure if everyone has watched it but Simon reeves did a three part series about Scandinavia recently and this exact situation is evident in Sweden.

Basically criminals in Sweden are using the exact same types for organised crime, including upto throwing hand grenades!
They know that due to age they will get off with a very light sentence compared to adults.

IMO we need to classify certain crimes as having the right to being a child reducing or getting them off.
We should also publicise this massively so there can be no way that these children miss it.
Perform adult level crimes, get adult level of time.

Unless it's snowing sideways

The scrotes wont be out then anyway.
