120mm Delta's

whats the lowest voltage these need to turn? cause ive had problems with controllers before and as soon as you plug a delta into them and attempt to turn it down the fan wont even start!

that was the 80mm deltas, and they were dangerous enough!

*120mm* Would it be better running one of these on low Vs to keep the sound down or would a quiter one push more air for less sound?

How about a self made fan controller? I have quite a lot of rheostats lying around.
They had too much resistance for my cheap slow fans, but a monster like this will draw more current so it might be ok?

Saw two of these 120mm deltas (Similar model anyway) cooling a electric FORK TRUCK

They are Loud to the extreme.

Wasnt delta, just remembered they were PAPST.

Best fan makers imo. Had 2 x 120mm papst fans on my radiator something like 130cfm each and still semi quiet compared to a delta.

PLEASE COULD SOMEONE, actually tell me if i can plug these directly into the 12 Volt Molex's

Your'll get a gyrocscopic effect on these, I recommend two fan grills too. AT 5 volts it will still make a noise, so a controller that can do 0-12volts is best I think. When I start my thermaltake tornado 80mm its like a plane getting ready for takeoff, I think 120mm is overkill , 80/92mm should be enough.
The Delta 120x38mm FFB1212EHE delivers over a whopping 190 CFM at 59.0 dBA comes standard with 3+4 pin Molex power connectors.

3.00 amp startup requirement

Please compare it to something..

If it sounds like the fan on my X1800 XT during start up then thats fine :)

I use a headset when im on my pc, so i wont be able to hear it i think

ok compare it something a room of 200 gamers, yet you can still one persons pc out of them all.

yes you can still hear it with a headset.

Imagine having a vacuum cleaner constantly on right next to you. The make the vacuum cleaner sound more annoying as it’s a higher pitch and you have one of these fans.

Novelty/one off benchmarking value only!

LOL.... I have a delta sat in front of me gathering dust, it was in my puter for about 3 minutes because of the noise. I could use it to drown out the noise from a hair-dryer......Seriously!!
