So what's the difference between this and having their ears pierced which I'm sure very few people would bat an eyelid at.

I see a body piercing as a way of making the body look attractive. A minor taking part in that sort of thing doesn't really do it for me.

Doing a girl's hair, pretty clothes and even ear piercing is still not really related to the body as such whereas padded bras, heels, lingerie and body piercing are.

I take it those saying no way are those types of people who will lock their daughters up until they are 40 so they don't get up to no good with all those rascal boys.

OP - I'm with you. Far too young but lets be honest, these days some children are having their own children at that age. Society is highly sexualised and the pressures to conform and extremes some will go are awful.

I know children as young as 6 who have had their ears pierced.
It's when people get their babies ears pierced... words fail me.

Idiotic!

It's silly at any age, let alone 13. I'm surprised the piercing place allowed it.

It looks tacky!

Plus, parents should never get their children pierced. It's not their body, they should let them grow up and make the decision for themselves when they are older.

Still, chavs will be chavs

Things weren't always better in the good old days, you know.

As for 13 year old and naval piercing.... I'm not keen, but to be honest, I find the babies getting their ears pierced in Claire's Accessories to be more abhorrent.

I don't believe I will be like that with my daughter at all. I hate to say it and I am being very honest here, I think it is probably a class issue. I am so utterly middle class that the thought of my kids having prince alberts and tatts when still under my parental guidance is not a happy one.

Unfortunately it seems we are in the minority

People look at me gone out when I say I don't like kappa hoodies. Luckily, they are not in my circle of friends

I think you're doing it wrong by even being with people who discuss Kappa hoodies.
