Some people may think this is a wind up but ive come into a lot of money and i have decided to buy myself a nice car after paying off all of my debts of over 20k. I used to have a Golf GTI MkV but a COW(Bull) took a disliking to me and it got written off :( I had to buy a Astra due to losing money from the crash and it was more efficient as i started a new job and would be doing lots of miles.

If nobody believes that i have the money, leave the thread. Thanks.

So anyway! I have a MAX of 150k to spend on a car, what do i do? :D

At first thought, i was like Golf R32!!!! LOL but i want something a little more "special".

Want something with 2 doors, doesnt have to be lightning fast.

Hope someone can help! I will have the hovis at ready when it gets delivered, promise!

Cheers,
Jay

This attempt at a thread is completely fail.

This is not a forum anyone serious about spending £150k on a car would ever ask for advice on. Therefore, you are either deluded, or posting here to increase the size of your epeen.

If it is true, the fact as soon as you get some money you think about spending £150,000 on a car despite not really being into cars enough to know what you want (Fact: Most car enthusiasts have a dream car they'd rush out and buy given the choice) probably explains why you ended up in debt in the first place.

Do you have the money to actually run/maintain the car once you buy it? and probably take a depreciation hit when you come to sell it.

I should have posted in my thread, TWFox, *** Off. I knew you would be the first to post something negative. Go away.

I take it you have a house and are financially stable and all? Only personally I could never justify that amount on a car unless I had a few houses and everything (and I mean everything) else was sorted including family.

But anyway, 150k...hmm. Give us a clue...are you after a supercar or something with 4 doors still? Is this just a toy car kinda thing? Will it do track days?

Anyone with £150k to spend on a car, wouldn't even have entertained the thought of the thought of the R32.

Thus, you are either lying, or don't need a £150k car.

I've got a list of cars I'd want if I had that kind of cash.

Why not spend £50 - £60k and get a v.nice car and either save / invest the rest :-) you can get nice / special cars for that price tag.

One word comes to mind - LOL

On a more serious note, go buy an M5/similar and keep the rest for running costs.

Agreed!

If your willing to spend this on a car I think you would know "roughly" what you want and I dont think a Gold would be on that list if Im honest.

This is just to use as a car. Not going to race it/track days of whatever, i just want to buy myself car, whats wrong with that? I knew i would get abused.
