18 month old daughters MRI results - a lot worse than we thought

I truly am deeply saddened to hear this. I saw the title and instantly remembered what it was from a previous thread.

All I can say really is stay positive! You wouldn't know by looking at her, she looks like a right little character.

Be strong buddy.

Saddening news. :(

As said, be strong for your family and yourself. Whilst I can't put myself (even close to being) in your position or feel what something like that would make me feel, you have to be positive and she'll always be your beautiful little girl.

My thoughts are with you and your family.

Until you have kids you never really experience the intense feelings that kids can give you. Life is a real roller coaster once you get them and you rarely have time for yourself again... She's an absolute beauty skywalker, sorry about the bad news :(
Personally, I'd just treat her as if there was nothing wrong with her and give her the best in life I could :)

Had the letter through the door this morning already for a kidney scan in 3 weeks so atleast there pulling there finger out this time , It took from birth to 18 months for them to diagnose it in the first place

Must be very hard to get that news and reading this has cut me up.

All I can say is that you have to focus on all the things she is still able to do and not focus on the areas of her life that may be effected by this condition.

All the best to you and your family, I hope not only your little girl but you and your partner get all the love and support you need to work through this.

This brought tears to my eyes :(.
It's terrible news but like you said she can live a normal life with just a little help.
She's such a lovely girl and she's always gonna be yours.

That is horrible to hear, quite close to the bone as well for me as my 1 year old niece had a problem with her skull when she was born, which is now fortunately fixed.

I wish your family the very best.

Kidney ultrasound happened yestarday and thankfully she doesnt have a polycystic kidney which was the fear , they where a little concerend about picking up something to do with her bladder though but nothing major .

She still has the Eye , Heart , lungs and a few other tests to go through but for the moment here is a very happy father saying 1 down and loads to go

But the score is 1 - 0 to Bethany :D

She's still going to be your wonderful daughter, and you'll have great times with her. Sad news to hear, and thoughts and prayers with you, but stay strong and as you're doing look on the bright side :) Sometimes it'll be hard but I doubt youll ever go one day without loving her totally, and her loving you!!

awww dude, i feel for you. truly i do.

modern medicine works wonders these days though. so keep hope alive.

its so possible to have a full, active and happy life with any kind of issue.

your beautiful daughter will be ok, love and support work wonders!

i truly cannot understand the pain you must be going through

but the best of luck in the whole world to you and your daughter!
