2GB is well enough for skyrims so called HD textures, at any res.
Tested by someone I know from another forum, loads of mods installed and playing at 1920x1080

0xAA/High Shadows - 1375MB
0xAA/Ultra Shadows - 1640MB
2xAA/Ultra Shadows - 1750MB
4xAA/Ultra Shadows - 1875MB
8XAA/High shadows - 1905MB
8xAA/Ultra Shadows - 2075MB

Guess will have to bite a bullet . Wonder how new TXAA compares to AA regarding the look and vram usage ?

No word on vram impact but performance and quality look to be great.

TXAA, which we talked about a little earlier, turns out to be a super-efficient temporal anti-aliasing algorithm. It has two levels: TXAA(1), and TXAA2. TXAA1 provides the image quality comparable to 16X MSAA, with the performance-penalty of 2X MSAA; while TXAA2 offers image quality higher than 16X MSAA (unlike anything you've seen), with the performance-penalty of 4X MSAA. Since few games natively support it, you will be able to enable it through the NVIDIA Control Panel, in the application profiles, provided you have a Kepler architecture GPU.

Will we see any benchmarks before Thursday afternoon? I'm having issues with BF3 and my crossfire 5850s... maybe it's a sign to get a GTX680

If a 680 performs or outperforms my SLI 570 set-up i will hapilly sell and swap to go single solution.. if not no point in changing.

Define "well enough" and "any res".

Skyrim with some texture mods already eats up 2GB VRAM at 2560x1440 with MSAAx2.

It doesn't, it's not the top tier card.

AT £420 I think this is overpriced.

It might look like a good deal when you think of 7970 prices, but when you remember that its $499 USD + VAT = around £377 we're getting ripped off in a country where you earn less and get taxed more than the US
