Save up and get one of these, 470 SLI won't last much longer games are getting more complex. Get a GTX680 now, bet you wont need to SLI it for at least another 2 years.

The heat, noise and power draw of 470SLI would push me towards a cooler 680 with a lot lower power draw and fan noise, it would offer very similar performance to 470 SLI as well, especially when clocked.

Now to justify it to the Mrs! Let the challenge begin.

Um? 470 SLI will last about aslong as the 680 as far as performance goes unless your VRAM limited at higher res. The sensible reasons for going for a 680 instead are those posted by raven that I've quoted below.
