yep thats pretty much 3000hz
im sure the Division has a benchmark tool to! should be able to run it without having to go into a game all the time
you can have fun overclocking the CPU too!
it runs up to 3.6ghz and it may not run it at all cores , why manual overclocking is key to making ryzen good- It may run all six cores at 3.4Ghz when it could handle them at 3.9ghz etc. basically your telling the PC to run all cores at max regardless if they need to or not in a loose term .
I dont tend to run games whilst they are down loading
when you say shut down? your were gaming and it crashed? was this when ram was set to 3200hz speed and not what you've now set it to, 2933hz ?
since i cant get on mine for a while- good quick OC quide in bios. Only difference is you want to run 37.00 and not 37.50 they have selected.
You should also be able to dial back in VCore voltage but using that one as a base guide and seeing how stock cooler copes!
again your ram is running at a faster rate then they are
this is were running CineBench and Asus Real Bench stress test comes into play- with CPUz running to show how much vcore or voltage is being supplied to the chip and having a monitoring software to monitor CPU temps when its stressing . Gigabyte has its own monitoring software, SIV in the Gigabte App- not great- but least it'll be able to tell you within 5c -/+ of your CPU temp
@Plec when I build Workstations that double up for gaming- things are thrown into 48 hours plus of stress testing haha- gaming just if it loads and plays minecraft im happy !
Chip in all the way - doesn't help when my mind floats between gigabyte and asus bios then intel and ryzen chips haha
new Vive should be impressive , should google Pimax 8K X - i stress the X version as you need Two 1080 Ti to power it ! one card per screen!
seems a tad warm to be honest
what program was telling your CPU tmep?
what temp did it reach running real bench ?
I used core temp to tell me the temp, i don't know what temp it his running realbench, where would it have shown me that? I'm rubbish at this mate sorry!!

Cant remember off the top of my head, i jut note them down on paper or here haha
core temp should tell you- cant remember if its had the Coding to take away the extra 20c heat it registered ryzen chips as
https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
download this one, will display states, voltages and temps of a lot of your components
don't worry mate, practice makes perfect- just takes time and playing around to get use to it all etc - everyone can learn something new everyday
I'm still learning on the go with overclocking haha

first one is current, second one is lowest recorded, 3rd one is Highest recorded value-
does seem high- what voltage is it pulling through? (CPU VCORE) - Looking for current and max value when running the stress test
does seem a bit high ? @Plec , have you used the stock cooler ? I was thinking 70c max at stock
should be able to stop it now- seems its reached a plateau
not high voltage.
might be worth re-seating the CPU cooler again
