.

Are you carrying a pillion?

If not, then the only choice is Kreiga ;)

Solo for this trip. It's difficult to mount anything on the rear seat because of the lack of passenger handles and the twin under seat exhausts being of high and sticking out the sides.

Edit: The Kreiga looks like it will work actually. I'd get the 20/30 and not the 70 though as I'm only off for 10 days.

The kriega setup should work fine. I had no problems on my Speed Triple. You just tie the straps under the seat so the loops stick out the sides, then the bags go on there. Have a look at the video on their website, that shows it quite nicely.

Their rucksacks look interesting too for when I do 2-up touring. It's annoying that the R35 isn't waterproof though.

Just stick a waterproof roll back inside it, although to be honest unless you're riding through driving rain for extended periods I've never found my R35 to let any real water through. I give it a quick spray with Nikwax proofing spray every few months and it's fine.

Looking at the videos for the US20 I'm not sure it will fit well on the Street Triple pillion seat. If it does then a US30 combo would be ideal, and I could use the US10 bag for adding the the R30 rucksack when I ride with my wife.

Is the R30 comfortable? It looks like it's missing a lot of the adjustments of the R35.

Are you camping? If not you'll get away with a 20 and 2x 10's, or a single 30. The 30 is big so is a tight fit on some seats, but if you're camping for 10 days you'll probably need the space.

Don't forget to use the 44teeth rewards page for 10% off.

I'm not camping. The US30 is just a US20 and a US10, no? In that case it's exactly the same as mounting a US20.

Edit: Ah I see there is a standalone US30 too.

Yeah the tailpacks come in US30/20/10 sizes, you can combine them with either one on top or 2x on the sides. so you could do a 20 + 2x 10's, or a single 30, or a 30 with 2x 10's or 2x 20's.

I've got the 30 and 2x 20's, so I can have 20/30/50/70 litres on the bike with the combination. I'm camping at a wedding in August but my tent/sleeping bag etc will be going up there before me so I'll probably only need a US20 on the rear.

I'll probably pick up another US20 before any longer trip as space was a little tight on my 5 day trip.

Also the R30 is awesome, I use one every day to work and back nearly full, I've done 12 hour days wearing one before - zero pain. The harness keeps the weight off your shoulders completely.

I think I'll go for the US 20 + US 10 for the tail and I'll have a think about (ask the wife for permission) the R30 back pack.

We don't do camping on our trips as youth hostels are so cheap and it saves having to carry a ton of extra awkward luggage.
