You what! Weren't 3570Ks around that (remember paying that for mine at least)?

I paid £174 (not sure if that was inc vat or not though, but even with vat is only about £10 more than the current i3 K) for my 3570k from here. So now the i3 K version is as much as previous i5 K series. Great!

I bought my 2550K for £155 in 2012 when the 3570K was around £170ish.

7350K Intel is just taking the ****.

It's the collapse in the £:$ rate. Looking at Wayback a certain US retailer sold the 3570K $240 back in June 2012 today 3.5 years latter their selling the 7500K $250, accounting for new product premium, inflation and everything else it's not Intel's doing.

Core i3-7350K 4.20GHz (Kaby Lake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - Retail £183.5

People have obviously ignored the collapse of the pound etc.

I know its our crappy currency that's caused the majority of the increase in price for the i5. I'm not blaming Intel for that.

What did make me chuckle was how much the i3k was, in comparison to the i5k of the same generation. There's only a £45 difference between them!

Which adds to the ludicrousness :p

do you guys really think intel is pushing the prices? i very much doubt it more like a combination of the pound and the retailer ;) no matter what anybody tells you.

But we never paid RRP for chips. Not even if you shopped at the purple shirt place and bought retail boxed chips.

i7 2600K was £220 and the i5 7600K is £240 they perform about the same when oc'ed in multi thread applications.

i thought we were suppose to get higher performance at the same price or same performance at a lower price. nobody wants same performance higher price. thats not progress.

also my g3258 was £50 and soc force was £180 back in 2014. a pentium and msi titanium is £400? and this time the pentium isnt even unlocked. lolz
