1st Fermi review

Ok this will probably make some of the fan boys shut up now :) I am just going to buy the best and it clearly shows the 480 so that is the GPU I am going to buy.

Thank you for posting this :)

I don't think anyone expected the 480 to not beat the 5870

What I personally expected, and you can go back and look at my posts, is it will beat it by 5-10% but cost 50% more. I think the 50% is being generous as well!

As expected Nvidia are going to have another winner here ;)

GTX470 is not far behind 5870 & once drivers are optimised 470 will be slightly faster & when physx are used faster again :D

GTX480 will clearly be a stonking card  as again when drivers are optimised the difference will be greater as Nvidia traditionally take several months to unlock all FPS on a new architecture & they have probably only had this A3 chipset to play around with for a month or so!

indeed wait for propper reviews that arent obviously favouring the new tech.

if there going to include an SLi test they should include a Crossfire test for comparison also.

il wait for driver heaven, guru 3d reviews etc.

If the 480 comes out at £400+ then it is a bad card is my take on the above results.

I think what Nvidia were aiming for was a higher clocked 512sp part which could have gone for ~+20%

You will be waiting a while for unbiased reviews, think I read the partner review sites that get cards for today have a strict list of what they can bench with.
