** 1TB of ultra fast storage at near 1GB/s speeds for less than £400?? Take a look inside! ;) **

Any reviews up yet?

Not yet however I should imagine that a product like this will have reviews up just before official hard launch which is the first week in September. :)

Righto, sadly not for me (vertex 3 should have been here today, now tuesday, thanks DX!) but a mate of mine is seriously interested in it. Guessing it's similar to how Intel RST thingy works, just an all in one solution?

Very similar yes but much much quicker :)

thats pretty cool, and it would bypass the sandforce allergicness to some mobo's.
weight would be a factor in the choice of the physical drive too.

and itll be way better than a seagoat hybrid which has like 4gig of nand flash

Would be great if you could do a review.

Test using AS SSD and ATTO against other SSD's and also see if these are bootable.

These are indeed bootable just like the RevoDrive 3s. If we can get one on review we will do as many tests as possible to ensure all areas are covered. Ill see what I can do :)

This has to be the silliest thing that's come int he market in a while. I actually lol'ed a bit seeing it and thinking "Wait, i don't even...".
I mean, you can get around the same pricing for a 120GB RevoD and any tale of HDD which you can much easily hotswap and play around with.
I am however extraordinarily curious about the benchmarks on this ones, gonna be a fuzzy testing!

watched the vid - looks quite sweet; and wondered why someone else hasnt come up with this since seagate and now ocz ... seagate's didnt seem that great since they only used a very small cache.

Only thing I am worried about is the sandforce controller they will use. But it does sound like it will be really quick. Perhaps this will make a nice boot drive and from what I gathered from the video they will have different sizes not just 1tb.

For example - I most likely would use between 250-500gbs for a boot/app/game drive.

looking forward to seeing the benches on these for sure.

oh whats the difference between using this in a pcie slot as compared to a regular sata hook up?

It'll be interesting to see how this does in real life testing against something like the larson creek. I suspect it might not actually be much better. The reliability would also worry me... Oh well we'll see I suppose

How fast is this compared to second gen SSD's?

Depends on the situation but as it has 2x 60GB (showing 100GB) or sandofirce SSDs (the same as the agility/vertex etc) along with the 1TB drive it comes out on top compared to an Agility or Force 3 in most situations making it very fast indeed!
