Is it possible to change the drive on these? seems to look like a standard laptop drive.
Does 1TB of ultra fast storage approaching 1GB/s in transfer rates for less than £400 sound good to you?
Will be interesting too see if the claims of read/write speeds are true.
I still find it very hard to belive especially at 400 quid, there wouldnt be much point in getting a 256 or 512gig SSD for 200-300 quid ? Rather add a bit more and get a 1tb surely....
Its a shame they didnt do a 512gig version for £199.99
Benchmarks are out for this drive now and it looks pretty good tbh.

I wonder if you could upgrade the onboard harddrive?

You must be online for the registration and software installation process. Once you have registered and installed the RevoDrive Hybrid, it is tied to your system much the same way that Windows is. The licensing code looks at the following “soft” components to identify a PC:
Ethernet card;
Memory;
OS;
Primary/boot DriveCPU Id; and
BIOS
If two or more components change, it is considered a “different” machine. If only one component changes, Dataplex automatically revalidates the license without issues, as long as the user is connected to the internet when the PC is rebooted after the change.
hmmmm, this is off putting for me
so i cant buy this component and then decide to upgrade my rig without having to jump through hoops with OCZ licensing? hmmmm

Why on earth have they decided to do this?
DRM for hardware? Sod off!
