** 1TB of ultra fast storage at near 1GB/s speeds for less than £400?? Take a look inside! ;) **

Does 1TB of ultra fast storage approaching 1GB/s in transfer rates for less than £400 sound good to you?

nope it does not sound good at all , less than £150 would sound good ;) ( never going to happen in this lifetime lol)

Will be interesting too see if the claims of read/write speeds are true.

I still find it very hard to belive especially at 400 quid, there wouldnt be much point in getting a 256 or 512gig SSD for 200-300 quid ? Rather add a bit more and get a 1tb surely....

Its a shame they didnt do a 512gig version for £199.99

The money is in the cards on this product, not the hdd. A 512GB version would probably cost £350 making it a little pointless given the price of this.

Oh SSD's why do you tempt me so?

I'm already planning on WC'ing and I don't think my wallet could take another hit like that :( Any plans on a super special deal? Might interest a lot of people :D

Benchmarks are out for this drive now and it looks pretty good tbh.

I wonder if you could upgrade the onboard harddrive?

hmmmm, this is off putting for me

You must be online for the registration and software installation process. Once you have registered and installed the RevoDrive Hybrid, it is tied to your system much the same way that Windows is. The licensing code looks at the following “soft” components to identify a PC:

Ethernet card;
Memory;
OS;
Primary/boot DriveCPU Id; and
BIOS

If two or more components change, it is considered a “different” machine. If only one component changes, Dataplex automatically revalidates the license without issues, as long as the user is connected to the internet when the PC is rebooted after the change.

so i cant buy this component and then decide to upgrade my rig without having to jump through hoops with OCZ licensing? hmmmm

If this is indeed true, this fact alone would stop me from buying one! Shame because I was seriously considering slamming one of these in my rig.
