2.13Ghz Intel Conroe at 3.1Ghz

That is very fast but my 3700 @ 3.1ghz got superpi of 27s and my 170 @ 2.7ghz was 32s i think - (cant remember) and the 170 was noticeably faster for general use. Even better now its at 3ghz

Cannot wait for this, 2.4Ghz one for me. Those who are worried about gaming performance, just google for some. They're pretty awesome chips.

Just shows when Intel get on the right track they don't just go to the next station.

I don't think that's entirely true. Without crossfire I'd be less able to play new games at max settings in my native resolution (1920x1200). Agreed though it's utterly pointless if you're playing on a small lcd and your res is only 1024x768

Riiight, so two dual core cpus running on a very expensive server board heavily overclocked can be directly compared to a single desktop dual core chip?

Not to mention they are "hand picked" 285'sm which cost an absolute fortune

I never said it wasn't, read my first post and correct your self. I remember I said "Benching" all the benchs will still by hold by amd.

Games like Oblivion, Fear etc kill my framerates at 1440x900 with full AA, I see almost no drop in frame rates with SLI

My point is, regardless of cost 2 dual core cpus cannot be compared to 1. It is like saying both of my computers combined are way more powerful than yours. Or I have CrossSLi(TM) across both of my computers

Don't be childish because it is me get over it mate, you know what I mean, and my point was benching. Conroe’s damn fast atm yes and will be used but not for the top benching rigs, that will be them AMD server setups rigs. Even if I had the money given me I would rather buy a house or something lol, I think it’s crazy and sad how much people spend. Even people that own the 2x 7900 gtxs I think are sad.
