*****20% VAT CASH BACK OFFER*****

we did it this way because there is less chance of anything going majorly wrong and our resellers being stuck with the problem.

The MSI P55 launch promotion was very successful but it led to overbuying and resellers being stuck with too much stock for months.

Cheeky question: This reads like a redemtion deal (send the reciept to manufactuer to get check back) if thats the case is it still open to OCuk NOVATRISE code also ?

Cheers

You've got me wondering about this as well now :D wont make a massive difference but every little helps :)

Nat, if I order today (now basically) will it still be eligible for this 20% cashback thingie? Or do I need to wait until tomorrow?

Still eligible mate. As far as I understand the msi 20% will involve emailing your serial number or something very similar to msi to claim your money back. Nevertheless all will be revealed tomorrow!

Ref no vat rise i have bought a few items over the last few days , but i cant use the novatrise voucher as i pay through paypal any chance of sorting this out !? Cheers

:):)Military components - let's get the facts out and not the bull.

They are far superior in every way to mainstay consumer components. They have enjoyed a much larger research and development budget than standard consumer components because they are deemed to be "Mission critical". People's lives often depend on the quality of these components and they are designed to operate at much harsher environments and outside the specification that ordinary components reach. Also they are tested to destruction to extraordinary levels and over tested to ensure compliance. The component costs are much higher to manufacture due to the exacting quality control and every component is certified and has traceability down to a batch so that if there is a batch problem, components can be withdrawn quickly.

What we are seeing now, however, is military 'graded' components that are being released into a consumer market but they only carry a consumer gaurantee. The manufacturer has already recovered its design and development costs from the govenment's that sponsered it, and once the top secret embargo has expired, they are free to sell on the technology according to individual contract. What you are getting here may have been top secret cutting-edge technology a few years ago, but it's certainly not now. What you should get is very high quality components that were manufactured in a state of the art plant with strict quality control built into the production processes.

Failures can and still will happen but the likely-hood of it is far lesser due to exacting manufacturer requirements. Given a choice between a board that has and has not got Military grade components, I would ALWAYS go for that option if given a choice. Having advised on several military projects I have actively been invlolved with bleeding edge technology and seen the benefits. Whether you think it's worth the money is your decision :)

If someone got over excited at seeing the new i5's on sale and also added in a non-MSI motherboard in the rush before realising the VAt back offer but actually wanted to change his order to include a MSI mobo instead, how would one go about getting it changed??

Yep the deals stack, so you can use our novatrise code and then get the 20% back off msi also! It's a crazy deal!

 Sweet deal! just wish I'd taken a look at the forums here a few weeks back so I'd have enough posts by now for free delivery as well :D somehow I dont think I'll manage 50 in one evening :D

EDIT were did I get 50 from >_< that seemed doable ish by maybe mid next week, but 100. Doh!

With all the military grade components you'd have thought they could offer a decent warranty without worrying about getting to many returns if they're as good as they claim. That said annoyingly the solder wont be military grade due to RoHS requirements >_< not a fan of lead free solder, I fail to see how its 'green' if it means things don't last as long.

/Sorry rant :D I'm just a bit bitter still about my monitor dying xmas eve >_<

Can anyone confirm what the warranty length is?
