Also - thunderstorms are predicted over the whole weekend - which unless the car is worse than we thought, puts Ferrari solidly in the frame for a decent result.

Renault should be able to do well - with the torque and weight of that engine pushing the rear end onto the track it should be able to squirt away from those slow corner very well. However - Renault are using their engines for the second race on a notorious car breaker.

The Champions wall will hopefully clame some victims as well this year for a bit of extra excitement *especially if you've placed bets on who'll hit it first. ;)*

McLaren are going to find it hard - Raikkonen's going out to qualifying 10th..big disadvantage - though it could have been a lot worse.
Also they have apparently had a massive engine failure *apparently one of the worst they've ever had..* while doing straight line speed testing - there are rumors that it was a 2006 V8 unit they were running in the car. That would surprise me though - Would have thought they were doing a shakedown for the Grand Prix instead.

The new surface is a jump into the unknown - no doubt they'll be speaking to some of the support race guys who go out before them. Hopefully they've used a softer tarmac to get more grip from it.

As for Williams - I don't think that they're going to be with BMW for much longer. Could you work with BMW after they've said all that? Also Williams have started fighting back. My guess - Would be surprised to see them running Toyota units in the near future.

Toyota - Not so much surprise of the year *thats Red Bull* but it's nie to see them doing so well. R.Schumacher is proving himself to be a tit yet again, but Trulli is driving superbly. Car seems reliable as well - the engine is showing superb reliability which is good - also rumoured to be the most powerfull engine in the pit lane.

Oh..ITV - show us the qualifying live you total ********!!!

Canadian GP on ITV1 and ITV2

Oualifying: Saturday 11 June 2330 – 0045 (ITV1)
Live race: Sunday 12 June 1700 – 1950 (ITV1)
Highlights: Sunday 12 June 2355 – 0055 (ITV1)
Highlights: Monday 13 June 0200 – 0250 (ITV2)
Full race replay: Tuesday 14 June ITV1 0115 – 0345 (ITV1)

It's only an hour on saturday night..please...it'll just disrupt you kirstys stupidest home video's or whatever crap you've got on.

Can you imagine what would happen if they treated the World Cup or some other crappy football event like this?

There would be so much crap over it...

F1 - one of the worlds biggest spectator sports? Sod all. :(

Quick question for you all - do you want me to hide the qualifying results until Qualifying is shown on TV.

Kind of as I used to do the qualifying 2 results?

I will be doing the practice times soon - just been busy playing GTA:SA ;)

Those Ferraris looking very lacklustre in terms of pace. Man have Bridgestone got some work to do!

It's not the tyres that is the biggest problem - lack of downforce at the rear and dubious brakes.

Not good charastics to have at Canada. ;)

Qualifying starts in about 30mins...Think it's on Five Live sports Extra *digital TV/Radio only..not online* and through the F1.com live timing.

5 down...15 to go...

Code:
Klien out on track - Not a bad lap time considering he's probably full of fuel.
Webber out - goes wide on a couple of corners in S1 - very scruffy lap.
R.Schumacher out - Good lap - Reasonably quick too.
Frisacher out now - Nearly lost the rear end a couple of times - especially on the last corner. Very untidy.
Albers up now - Damn that was a good lap from him. That will make Minardi a happy team.

R.Schumacher	Toyota 1:16.362
Webber Williams 1:17.749
Albers Minardi 1:18.214
Klien Red Bull Racing 1:18.249
Friesacher	Minardi 1:19.574

Karthikeyan out now - He's impressed me this year - the Jordan is a bad car. Even the Minardi is more stable than it. Not a bad lap though.

Massa out now - not bad - Lets see how he compares to Villeneuve
Villeneuve up now - Thats a surprise - he's faster than everyone so far.
Sato on track now - he's quick. Very quick. Nearly lost it on the last corner but most unlike him he managed to keep it on the track.
