2005 Canadian Grand Prix

So - Surprises:

Obviously Button - the car has been good this weekend - had no suspicions it was quite that good though.

M.Schumacher - I really don't think they've found 2 seconds since this morning.

Villeneuve - Has he actually found a way to drive the car?

Williams - Very slow here. Nearly 2 seconds off the pace, thats not right.

Albers - How the hell did get get that time out of the car??

Red Bull Racing - they're weird - some tracks they're fast - others they're slow. Possibly there's an aerodynamic issue at the root of it.

Yup - that was a 640x480 web stream though. ;)

Going to record the ITV 'show' to dvd though...

And the pizza has just arrived. How about that for timing. :D

It will provide variable levels of grip - shouldn't be too bad if the concrete isn't perfectly flat - slightly dimpled should do well.

That really was a good lap from Villeneuve. He's shown that he can do the job - but the big question is fuel - as will all the drivers.

I think that Montoya is finally getting used to that McLaren. He's still got shoulder problems though - I know that after qualifying he had ice on his shoulder again.

Anyone notice the wheel on the Ferrari almost leaving the ground on some of the corners?

I strongly suspect that M.Schumacher is running light - possibly trying what Barrichello did in the European Grand Prix.

I think somone brought it up either at the European GP or previously, but after you've had an injury like that, you can never getthe shoulder back to how it was previously. Hope this injury doesn't hamper him long term :(

There has been a couple of mentions that I've heard about surgery at the end of the season. It could be that during his shoulder being immobolised the bone fused to the muscle. That would cause problems.

Barrichello did not suffer an engine failure - it was a gearbox issue.

Qualifying.
