I was sure he was much closer than that - in which case - where is he going to get that extra 4 seconds of fuel from unless they've changed his strategy?

I'm not sure what James Allen is on about. Ron will sit there and see what happens, he's a racer at heart and possibly the loudest opponent of Ferrari's manipulative tactics. There's no way that he'll force JPM to move over.
