2006 Cooler Master Mod Competition

Hi!

Well I would have left some things (MB Tray and blanking plates) silver and I would have polished them.

I like the Power button silver rings.

To me it still just looks like an upside-down ATC :(! But I love the colour, and the ATCS on the side (I really like it :P).

The blanking plates are silver - the tray isn't because i had to cut a new back plate out of composite alu which is white faced, so would have looked odd being white, and would have beeen a bit odd being sprayed silver, where as the blue is the blue so matches.

the case should still look like an ATCS - they are in my opinion the best looking cases, so i didn't want it to look like something totally different
 
I think its cool, certainly quirky.

Its only because I know what one is supposed to look like that it looks odd, otherwise it would look factory fresh which is a great achievement!

great work Harib0.

For my use it's ideal, but also it wouldn't have been much of a mod if i'd just changed the colour of the case - i'm hoping to score well in the following areas "Innovativeness, Uniqueness, Fresh idea" having turned it upside down as i've not seen it done before!

Like the back story, add realism, and you should score well in the above areas. Going for desktop drive accessability with tower styling is a really good idea (might even be seeing this in the shops in a year or two ;) )

And your spot on the money with the side panels and colour :D

Only problem (and the reason this could never win) is your description says that CM old cases are better than their new ones! (which is true) but not what they want to hear.

No ignore that. winner bassed on forum votes, not judges so your back in the game :cool:
 
Hmm yeah but i did say that "in my opinion they are the ultimate in style and build quality" So not actually saying they are better than the new cases.

Still we'll see, i saw some pictures of a couple of others entries and going on their pics i'm not going to be coming last!

Not only is your mod a real gem, but it's understated style and appeal give you mucho cred around these parts :cool:

And if your description is true, that this is, infact your first full mod, that gets you the noob mod award at the very lease. :D

At first I wasn't too keen on it being upside down but it's really growing on me. Then I noticed all the little details that you'd taken time on. For example all the writing has been turned around too. Great work.
 
wow thats very nice... white fans would have made it nice.. but that blue and white logo just looks the dog's :D 10 / 10 - 5 stars
 
I think it looks great :) , well done. Love the colour, its a shame the whole case isn't brushed ALU anodized in the same colour as the front, but it still looks great painted and matches in well. Also like everybody else has said the side panel with ATCS logo looks awesome. Also i don't think the pictures do it justice, some are blurred etc.
