Because basically he had too..

No he didnt actually

From Ferrari's point of view he would have been just a couple of points behind Massa if he had come in 2nd and Massa third

edit sorry 5 points which is nothing

LH under investigation ..... can guess how thats gonna turn out even though he gave the position back

I think Kimi was unlucky. He was the guinnea pig for Hamilton. When Kimi spun it and then proceeded to stack it it gave Hamilton the hint that things were treacherous. But yeah it did look like Kimi lost his cool a bit from the pressure Hamilton was giving and that is what it's all about!

Don't think LH lost the car at all in those last few laps. There were a few danger moments like when he had to avoid Rosberg and stuff but nowhere near the level of spins and cross country tours that KR took.

Possibly similar to the end of the first lap. Lewis was the first to arrive at the hairpin at racing speed, Kimi could probably see things starting to go wrong and so held back benefited.

Grrrrr!
If they take the win off it him just shows what a joke F1 is fast becoming, that sort of ending is what people want to see, it just happens to be a Ferrari who ended up in the wall (through no fault of Lewis, other than it was him he was racing)

Good the press conference guy got it in there to say LH gave the place back and then retook it. All about setting perception with the FIA when it comes to these "stewards decisions"!

Seems to me would have been much better for LH if Kimi had come second, or even if Kimi had won the race with Massa third. Either way it would have kept things uncertain for Ferrari for a while.
Brilliant race tho. F1 should be a winter sport.

Trying to remember the last time I got that excited by F1 I was out of my seat and everything then

Was like the old wheel to wheel Mansell and Senna days!!
