'the Briton kept his momentum'

while slowing down compared to the ferrari he let past, I want one of those physics breaking mclarens.

Maybe thats why they are under investigation, being in violation of newton.

Newton has very little to do with momentum.

Would you want to be a Mclaren employee walking the streets around Monza ? :D

Been there, done that... *well, as a subcontracted person* Wasn't a pleasent enviroment.

Outside of the track I was in jeans and a t-shirt - by orders of the company I worked for at the time. Was getting changed in our transit mobile workshop.

Why do most of your posts sound exactly like posts on Autosport. ;)

Don't ask me. I don't read Autosport's troll breeding ground, haven't for a couple of years now.

Ahh right must be a coincidence. I just assumed as you still read there as I remember you used to cut and paste articles from the subscription site there. :)

hopefully no penalty for lewis
was good racing hard and fair f1 is too correct these days
they are big boys let them sort it out on the track

I dont care if they get penalised or not, I'm sick to death of seeing drivers use the car as a weapon where they start to move over and hope the other driver yields or moves off the track. That shouldn't be allowed. I've no problem with them defending a pass but when they dont even want to leave a cars width that should be stopped.

If you cannot make a pass without running the car off the other car off the track you shouldn't be doing it anyway.

I know. Lets make the drivers be less aggressive, so the only action we do get, is now disallowed aswell.

It looks like Hamilton was ahead of the Ferrari on the chicane before he had to divert onto the run-off. He yielded to let Kimi past however he still may have had a little bit more advantage than Kimi as he could aceel out of the corner first and didn't need to slow down as much but Hamilton did the right thing by the rules and let Kimi back in front.

It's happened a few times in the past. You can't just press a button and give yourself an equal disadvantage to one you may have gained to make things fair. Kimi had the whole pit straight to defend his position and didn't manage to pull it off. It was racing and Kimi was out raced. His interview makes it sound like he crashed out on purpose because he didn't want to be 2nd to Hamilton.

It was a good last few laps which I really enjoyed. I will be disappointed if there is any penalty given to either driver.

Hours after the race while all the fans will be flying home no one knows what the stewards will pull out of there backsides.

what a sad state.

I think the race result will stand, whether they decide to make a penalty for the next race is a different matter.
