His attempt at surprise on the 2007 review when Kubica had his crash in Canada is absolutely hilarious.

"Oh no!!! Kubica has gone off!!! What a terrible crash!"

Hope they've got rid of the annoying background music as well. Definitely a stocking-filler though!

Some of the commentary was abit dodgy. :p

He is still one of the best commentators out there.

They could choose Jonathan Ross again. :p (God no lol)

For a lot cheaper I can go to Spa and get a general admission ticket which will offer me a better view than any GA ticket ever will at Silverstone. Plus they have waffles as well. Win win.

Agreed, I'm mulling going to Spa next year, you can almost get over there and stay in a hotel for that Silverstone ticket price.

An interesting read.

What made me laugh was the following:

...Force India failed to win a single point in their first season with Giancarlo Fisichella's 10th place at the Spanish Grand Prix their best result.

Team-mate Adrian Sutil was running in a brilliant fourth place in Monaco before Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen slammed into the back of him in the closing laps, forcing him to retire.

Clearly, now that the season is over, we know how precious that 4th place would've been. Of course, the FIA didnt deem it worthy of any sort of penalty. Bizarrely, Bourdais, who was being pushed off the track, by Massa, in Japan, was demoted - for reasons not entirely clear - which gave Massa an extra point.

Now if that isnt assisting Ferrari (to win the titles), I dont know what is.

I felt sorry for Sutil when that happened, he was gutted and rightly so. It's bizarre that Raikkonen didn't get a penalty given the circumstances this year that there has been penalties given, usually to cars that aren't red.

Don't get me (and the others) started.... :)

The teams are testing next week, so should be some interesting news :) Then its only a week or so into Jan when the 2009 cars start being revealed. I think the worst part will be Feb-start of new season time.

Dear God,

Please make it stop.

Yours, JRS.

Seriously guys - McLaren and Hamilton won, Ferrari and Massa didn't. So if any giant conspiracy was in play to ensure a Ferrari champion, it was obviously pretty useless. Can we let this tired old Ferrari International Assistance crap drop now, please?

Are we talking about F1 2008? Ferrari did win.

They won the constructors championship - but they'd have won that no matter what since both drivers were scoring decent points hauls on a semi-regular basis whereas McLaren were relying on the bulk of their scoring coming from the exalted Messiah™ himself, our Lord and Saviour Lewis Hamilton. But they lost the drivers title, in spite of what was apparently this giant conspiracy on the part of the governing body of international motorsport to hand them the title.

he will never be back i dont care what any of you
say lol none of you know anythink about F1 ferrari
are better and hamilton cheated by having it off with
a girl from my fave band so he should be punished
and docked 8 points

That scared you!

I do think that the penalties/lack of penalties was fascicle, however I'm not sure on the motive. I'm not sure whether it was just to benefit Ferrari, or to make the WDC come down to the last race. It would be interesting to see if either Ferrari was ahead most of the season, if they would have received ridiculous penalties in order to help Hamilton to still be in contention on the last race.

Ah, what the hell. One more post:

Would it be interesting? Really? If Ferrari were well ahead, and the penalties were still applied, do we honestly think it would it stop folks like sunama crying out "OMG T3H FIA ARE BIASED TOWARDS FERRARI!!!1111oneoneeleventyone"?

I don't think it would. I think if Massa had won every single race this year, folks would still have been wailing "Ooh, the FIA are just trying to help Ferrari!" when Hamilton got his penalties. Whining about how the FIA loves Ferrari and hates Lewis Hamilton has become a national sport, and despite Hamilton winning the championship in spite of this almost insurmountable conspiracy against him () I can't see that whining stopping any time soon.
