That's the first F1 race I've watched in years and I can say without a shadow of doubt that with the exception of the rain at the start and last 2 laps the whole race was a boring procession. Hardly anyone overtakes and the result seems to be all about who pits and when.

Massa did drive superbly and I feel for him. Hamilton didn't drive well at all and although he got the most points he was too conservative. Still, those are the rules and looking at the entire year he deserves to be World Champion.

I just wish F1 had some of the excitement of past decades with modern safety standards. Then it would truly deserve the name Formula 1.

I love how the Hamilton fans are so magnanimous in their victory ;). You can tell a lot from how a person loses, but a lot more when a person wins...

Lets just say a lot of the people here and been found wanting - actually picking on some posters because of their differing views is just embarrassing...

ps3ud0

cant agree more

technically if ferrari won the constructors that means they have the best car. So lewis won the championship and he wasnt even in the best car :p

The mclaren and ferrari are quite similiar really, mclaren lost out on the constructors because Kovalainen is so useless in races to be honest.

Totally agree, lets see what next year brings us :)

Don't we all but, it's only going to get worse in the coming year as the regs get even tighter, strangling the life out the sport.

yes but points wise, and thats what counts, ferrari were the better car but hamilton was the better driver.

So so glad Ferrari didn't get it, although I have a tenner on the FIA having an after race stewards enquiry and stripping Hamilton of the title some how...

Anyone got a link to the full post race interview with the top 3? They just did massa and cut off. Hate it when ITV do that. Not to mention Hamilton getting the title

Congratualtion to Hamilton although i was cheering for Massa. Really felt gutted for Massa. A horrible way to lose like that. Especially infront of your home crowd. Hopefully Renault can make a decent car next year so we can see the true champion back at the top :D

let the ferrari fans have there say, if massa had won the championship the lewis fans would all be crying out about the fia and the penalties.
when it comes down to it, lewis got the points and won the championship, and as a confessed fan of mclaren and lewis, i'm pretty pleased with the result, would have liked to have seen lewis take it in a more dignified fashion but all that matters is that he won it.
when it comes down to it, it was a good season, maybe not as exciting as previous ones but still, he deserved it either way.
dont get me wrong massa deserved it as well and i must admit dispite laughing when i seen the reaction in the ferrari garage i really did feel bad for them.

heres to hoping for a good season next year, its gonna be interesting seeing how all the teams handle the rule changes.
preferably with less penaltys and intervention from the FIA(one can only hope)
