Having just got back into F1 [always been a fan but back working for a F1 team]
I would like to know peoples predictions for the upcoming season.

Who will show the biggest improvement?

Who do you think will struggle?

Which driver are you looking forward to watching in a new seat?

What is your prediction for each of the teams?

I would like Hamilton to have another good season and perhaps go 1 step further, i am also keen to see how Alonso get's on in a slower overall package.Ferrari for a win again this year? I'm not sure but i know [like most] that i would like to see a couple of more teams fighting for honours and stop F1 becoming a year in year out 2 horse race.

Your thoughts?

I'd like to see Hamilton win the Championship, but have a close fight on the way, similar to last season, where the last couple of races settles it.

Who do you think will be his biggest challenge?

TBH i'm not really sure, its hard to judge until you start seeing them out on the track and seeing how the perform.

Depending on how Alonso gets on, i think he will be a challenge, Raikonnen too.

can't see renault doing that much personally.

BMW could make a step up, there slowing performance last year makes me think they started full dev on this car early.

Also Red Bull could be come up with a decent package, but i am not sure Webber is up to the task and coulthard is well past his best imho.

Who will show the biggest improvement?
It surely has to be Honda, after the diabolical mess that this year has been I feel like they'll come back fighting. As long as Button continues driving as well as he has been this year it should be alright.

Who do you think will struggle?
Honestly can't think of anyone that will struggle, TC will be gone so we could see a few stupid mistakes. Massa's been whining, I'll be watching him for some careless errors.
I'd be interested to see Hamilton's performance if his team-mate is rubbish, we saw some great performances from Hamilton/Alonso pushing each other.

Which driver are you looking forward to watching in a new seat?
Alonso

What is your prediction for each of the teams?
Ferrari - The usual, always a threat for the win.
Mclaren - Good start then maybe fade towards the end of the year.
BMW - Challenge for race wins I'd say (hope they do)
Renault - Challenge for race wins, come good towards end of season.
Williams - Regular podiums? A sly race victory
Red Bull - Car will be quick some days and useless the others. Webber will suffer hydraulics failure at most races... Coulthard's beard will look worse.
STR - Red Bull performance, more erratic results
Honda - Podiums, surely, get your act together Honda!
Toyota - Will achieve a good result and swiftly fire the whole team, will then struggle.
Super Aguri - Not expecting much at all
ForceIndia (or whatever they're called) - Bad results, many driver changes, team sold at end of year.

Who will show the biggest improvement?
Over the course of the season... Honda.
Who do you think will struggle?
Massa. Kimi's broken his duck and should be able to stamp his authority on the team.
Which driver are you looking forward to watching in a new seat?
Alonso. Back as undisputed team leader he should be able to concentrate on driving, rather than blackmailing his team boss and throwing tantrums.

Personal Predictions:

Kimi for the title again - This is always a tricky one for me though as I can't stand Ferrari, but love the boozy Iceman.
BMW flattering to deceive - I wish they would step up and take on the big two, but I just can't see it somehow.
Everyone in the Formula One threads missing Ralf Schumacher. ;)

Hopes:

Alonso dragging Renault back to the top table.
Hamilton and McLaren getting a reality check.
Button and Honda getting decent race finishes, maybe a podium or two as a result of actual race pace.

Just over three months to go! :)

Hamilton and McLaren getting a reality check.

The team with the best car of 2007? Doubt that :p Personally I think Hamilton has already got his reality check when he lost the season. As long as McLaren can produce a good car for next year then I think the now more experienced and perhaps relaxed Hamilton will be a real contender again.

Not expending Renault to do much at all.

BMW will be a force to be reckoned with I reckon too.

I can see Hamilton and Raikkonen fighting for the championship with support from their second drivers. Alonso I'm not too sure.. I have heard the new Renault may well be very quick again (2007 being a one off problem), maybe getting podiums but not going to win championship.

It would be good to have BMW challenging. Apart from those 4 I don't think there will be any break throughs. It would be nice to have Honda and RBR fighting for 'best of the midfield'.

I hope Honda manage to sort out that terrible mess they got themselves into last year.

I'm interest in seeing how Nelson Pique Jr does when teaming up with Alonso this year.

Should be a pretty interesting year.

The main thing I hope for this year is that there are less politics

I can already tell you: not very well :D

Renault are (in?)famous for their internal team favouritism - a bit like Ferrari are.
I can just imagine Flavo and Jean with a secret remote control in the corner of their garages to slow them down a bit :p
