Was a fairly good qualifying session towards the end, seemed like a nightmare for Massa seeing Kovalainen and Alonso putting more places between him and Hamilton right at the end of qualifying. It should be a good race tomorrow, to see how Massa desperately tries to climb up the positions and if Raikkonen is on form it'll be good to see him put some pressure on Hamilton.

Im sorry guys!
I sky plussed it and have just woken up to catch it.
I have a rather messy (there may be alcohol involved :D) day ahead so needed a teeny bit more sleep.
I promise faithfully I am getting up for the race, and thankyou I could hear you shouting cos my window was open!
:D
(oh and I need to do the statutory "woo Lewis" obviously dont i!?!? :p )

Looking forward to the race now, I guess I jinxed Kimis good form by slagging him off last night didnt i? And Heikki might be up there in the mix, but I have a feeling he will just panic and people will skate round him.

Sorry I wasnt here, forgive me, like I said I promise I will be here this time tomorrow morning.

Yeah his reference to "Massa *something along the lines of him all the title chasers being behind their team mates*......oh apart from Lewis that is" made me giggle (and want to slap him as usual)

*******wheres Steve Ryder?*******
(I forwarded it to the qualy and missed the build up)

Bit of Mclaren pre-empting there thinking theyll fuel Raikonnen light so theyll fuel Hamilton lighter etc etc :D
(I have to believe these things see :P)

At first I thought McLaren were fuelled pretty light but then Ron Dennis said that they haven't compromised their race strategy...

Don't know what to think now :( All will be revealed tomorrow morning :D

Well to be honest mate... Based upon previous race performances of the Ferrari... personally I would take it with a pinch of salt.

Massa has his work cut out tomorrow, he'll certainly be earning his pay if hes to get ahead of Raikkonnen/Hamilton.

But isnt it funny how Raikkonen said "He has to get infront first (with reference to Massa and helping him out). Bizzare that he made that comment and suddenly for the first time in a long time, Massa has been outqualified by KR.

That pit straight is long. Plenty of opportunities into the first corner methinks.

Dammit cant wait now :D

i think kimi was sent out very light in order to stop lewis getting pole, but this failed (kimis lap was a bit meh) i would guess the plan was having massa fairly heavy with kimi keeping lewis from driving his way into a big lead. massa ending up back in 5th though was probably not part of the plan.

Covering a proper sport at 4:30pm ;)

Oh for those of you that are up the Autosport chatroom is pretty cool during races:
http://www.autosport.com/chat (or irc server irc.autosport.com channel #atlasf1)

It's nothing like the Autosport forum which is full of trolls these days.

if hamiltons stratergy isnt compromised then its quite a lap he put in. kimi has to be light for reasons mentioned above, i was willing kova to get infront of massa, then he and alonso did.

massa really need to be infront or right behind hamilton to keep the championship alive, althought, its not won by hamilton yet.

cant wait for the race tomorrow

I think there is truth in what you said.
But come race day, I think that if KR is light, he will almost certainly arrive at the first corner quicker than LH and hold him up as to not pull away. At that point it would be up to Massa to get past of the two cars infront of him.

Massa encountered some traffic and his tyres gave up apparently.
What I thought was daft was on his outlap he set the fastest Q3  Whyyyy did you burn out your tyres Massa :|

I think that hamilton might be the lighter of the two. All he really needs to do is stay out of trouble and been P1 is the best way to do that. What happened to massa was always on the cards for anyone of the top 4 that didn't get a lap together given how close the cars were yesterday in practise.
WDC is sealed and just needs to be delivered, WCC is still wide open.
