We've lost Ronaldo but I still think it's our title this year as Chelsea haven't really done anything, Liverpool either and Arsenal have gone backwards despite cutting away a lot of dead wood. I don't think for all their money, City will even get a Euro spot - they don't have the workings of a proper team or a good enough manager.

Hull to escape relegation on the last day of the season.

Chelsea for the FA Cup, simply because they will be able to put the performances in to win it. City for the League Cup as nobody else cares.

Champions League to stay in Spain.

Hope to survive in League 1 this season, think we will be underestimated again though and could end up in the top half.

Too many unknowns yet, in their current state Pompie will go down, even more so if they sell yet another striker. However the sale to a billionaire goes through and they get the right manager who buys the right players, who knows.

Will almost certainly change stuff as transfer stuff happens before the season starts. Arsenal without a real DM, screwed, Utd get a serious injury to the big three(owen, Rooney, Berb) and they are highly unlikely to win the title, Chelsea get their marquee signing, depending on who it is, could end up a great team(but seemingly no depth, still). City get Lescott and Toure they'll have ridiculous depth and some real quality in the first team.

Everyone waiting on Real to finish up seems to have pushed a lot of transfer to late in the window.

We should do a version of what people think before the 1st game, and a version that has to be in by the 1st day after the transfer window closes, see what the differences are.

Arsenal to win the premiership.... Olympiakos champs league.... what are you on? :p

I thought more people would've slagged me off since I did to them over Inter Milan. :p

Arsenal, I think Wenger will buy one more midfielder to beef up the midfield and if everyone stays fit (especially Arshavin) I don't see why not. Keeping everyone fit is obviously the problem as they don't have much strength in depth.

Olympiakos, I think will 'do a Porto' this season and win it. They've got a young talented manager (Ketsbaia ;)) like Mourinho and already have a half-decent (but not great) squad. They should have loads of team spirit like Greece in 04.

I put £10 on Olympiakos winning the CL and £10 on Barca, as a safety net. :p

I guess it's more hope rather than expectation, thinking someone if I post on here my bets will come true. :D

Surely they should be like 100/1?

You can get 20/1 for Bayern and 50/1 for Lyon....

Worth a fiver from anyones pocket.

Quite a few good odds for teams like, Inter and Juventus are decent odds I think

I might have put £20 on actually. I'm sure it worked it out though and I'd win £500-600.

Edit- I'm too tired and I don't even know what I'm going on about now, but I definitely put a £10 bet on.

Better mix of youth and experience this year, a manager that can sort a gameplan and shape the team to suit.

Away from the pre match interview, billy is quite the articulate thinking man, i got my belief back.. top half, playoffs, top two.

Tempted to get my season ticket back this term.

Now that is some poor poor predictions :D

Arsenal third and city fourth? Arsenal to win not only 1 cup but 2 for the first time in 5 years and Chelsea to win a cup they've never won before

We'll see...

Chelsea

If Chelsea won one cup this year I'd want it to be the CL simply down to the fact we've never won it. I do feel as If united are weakened and Chelsea have so many players in their 'prime'. Cole, Terry, Bosingwa, Lampard, Drogba and Joe Cole should all be at the peak of their career. Saying this my predictions could all go balls up if Ancellotti doesn't do the job.

Liverpool have a great chance of winning it too but i still feel as if they need another top draw striker. Johnson Carragher Agger Aureio isn't exactly the best back four in the world either. Saying that Reina is brilliant.

United have the best manager in the world in charge, they will be up there competing with everything, it's going to be interesting though.

Arsenal should take 4th and City 7th behind villa and Everton with spurs and Fulham fighting for 8th.

FA Premiership

I think it's a straight fight for first place between Chelsea and Manchester United, as it has been for some years.

United are still a very strong side, despite losing two good players. They've bought a natural finisher in Owen, and a couple of promising young players.

Chelsea, hinge on Mr Mafia, and if he will keep the current manager. If they keep the manager I think Chelsea have every chance of battling for that top spot, with another change mid way through a season, they could drop a few places.

Arsenal and Liverpool fighting for third and fourth. Liverpool pipping them I think.

Arsenal have acted very well in the transfer market, they've done well selling a striker, and signing a defender, they need now a good defensive midfielder, a real battler.

Liverpool, have been fairly unsuccessful in the transfer market imo, they've paid over the odds for a good right back, and haven't signed another to partner or replace and injured Torres. Liverpool's problem last year was they were a two man team at times, if they suffer injuries again, they could find themselves off the pace. They will struggle if they lose Alonso, I can't see Real bumping up to pay over the odds for him, They've spent a lot this summer and I doubt they'll spend a massive amount again before the season starts.

Manchester City have built a good team, who are still weak defensively. Aston Villa haven't signed anyone of notice so far, and have sold players.
Everton, have signed a good player in Jo on a season long loan, with players staying fit they could get fourth.
Spurs have a good team, a bit heavy on forwards, but a good start to this season will allow them to be in the mix for a top finish.
I expect Fulham to push on and improve even more this season, Hodgeson is a top class manager.

I think the three will be more concerned with Europe then domestic cups, I can see one of them winning the cup still, but maybe seeing another Everton in a final ;)

Portsmouth, Hull, Stoke and the three promoted teams to fight it out over relegation.
Pompy don't seem to have done anything in the transfer market in regards to improving the team.
Hull were very lucky last season, and the three promoted will have to do a lot of work to stay up.

Champs League

Barcelona, a simply fantastic side, who if they reach any kind of form will be unstoppable.
I always fancy Manchester United and Chelsea to do well, Manchester United are a quality team, and Chelsea very industrious.
Real Madrid, this season will be either make or break, they will either be fantastic or will fail.

I support Sheffield Wednesday, and while I think the play offs are achievable
I doubt we will get there this season, I feel we lack cover in the midfield and any real stand out quality.

I'm not 100% on who will be going up, but I'd wager the other team in Sheffield to do very well, I think they're a certainty for the play offs at least.
