2009 Christmas Work Do Thread

I think she learned her lesson from the first time, she did actually abuse the bouncers and kicked the boss in the chest when they tried to restrain her :D

I needed a year off :D

I once had a Christmas Do where the PA to the Directors confessed to another staff member that she was a crack addict and had stolen £1000s from the company to manage her habit.

Interesting one that one.

I dont have my own gossip to share so I'll share my partners :)

Work do, london copious amounts of booze.... one chap threw up on the directors shoes :D

Were going out for our lunch on friday and tbh that is too much for me.

I hate pretty much everyone i work with and wish i didnt need the job tbh.

Although i have been on some great xmas do's with friends workplaces, and always find myself wishing that i worked somewhere cool like that, not with a pack of inbred shatpipes.

Had 3 (count them) 3 work dos this year

My department
Company as a whole got home at 5:30am :D
Divisional managers meal

All paid for by the company, recession what recession??!?!?!?!!?

Oh and I won the employee of the year award at the company do. Yeah go me, accepting an award from your managing director in front of the whole company whilst drunk is interesting.

I have 2 this year by 2 different companies.

One I am currently working for, it'll be just a meal, small affair, 20 people ish, follow probably by us separated from the bosses and onto a bar. Next Monday.

Second one is this Friday, for the company i will be working for in January, been invited, names down, meals ordered already, big affair, 200 people (75% female), free bar, center of birmingham..shame i have a train to catch in the morning to London!

I don't go to my works Xmas do, its in Feb the following year & in the worst restaurant in the town. Got better things to do with my spare time than hang around talking about work all the time. I don't get on with most of the people I work with so I stay away.

I work in a hotel which caters for companys xmas do's. So sadly I've had a works xmas party almost every night in december. I can tell you one thing for sure - works xmas partys turn EVERYONE into complete ****s.

My advice? If invited to one, politely decline.

Fetch meh another beer, run along now

:p

Went to the Support Teams Christmas meal earlier in the month which was a bit of a laugh and have my teams do this Thursday. Again we are going for a meal with a few drinks before and after, (although I probably won't hang around long afterwards), but I don't know some people in the team very well so I doubt it'll be as good as the earlier one.

The company puts £15 per head towards your teams do which is claimed by the manager (so we had to pay to attend the Support do as it wasn't our team), and that cannot just be spent on booze.

This company has had big do's in the past but most people don't go to them as they are only in a few locations. We've tended in those cases to just arange our own things within the teams and pay for them ourselves, (the usual meal, drinks and maybe some clubbing).

Ours was Friday just gone.

other than the usual - pinch the boys bums antics that the girls get up to nothing really exciting happened. ( I have to admit I did join in as a joke) There was a bit of an argument between a couple of the girls but that's always happening as one of them is really moody so constantly snaps even when you're being nice.

I of course was a very good girl as always (apart from the bum pinching :p) Even my date was well behaved which everyone was shocked at lol

Last year we managed to get a picture of my boss being dry humped by the only gay in the office. He was at the bar completely unaware of what my colleague was doing lol :D and yes we were kind enough to add it to facebook haha :D

I have mine Saturday night - This is my first with the company but WOW they know how to have a party. Firstly http://www.parkhouseclub.com with meal (looking at prices now :o) Free bar all night where i am told Veuve Clicquot flows free. Then When the night is done they have put us all up in Hotel :)

Had my first do two friday's ago at a 5 star hotel, 6 of us went, boss covered everything - food, drink, taxi money home - cost him just under a grand  I literally did not spend a penny.

Went to me second do there last friday (old work) and it was good but I spend a fortune
