Fallout NV for me though.

Not here it wasn't, I got on release in June. Obviously it was released in Oct'09 in the States & Feb 08 for Asia.

Fallout NV would be a close second but is far to broken imo to be considered. (30+ crashes in 90 hours, not including various other issues)

Best game I've played this year was Singularity on 360 and God of War III on PS3. These 2 were so far ahead of anything else I played this year.

From that list of the games I've played:

1. Mass Effect 2
2. Bioshock 2
3. Halo Reach
4. Heavy Rain
5. Red Dead

Of the games not on the list I'd add:

Alan Wake probably between Halo Reach and Heavy Rain.
F1 after Bioshock 2.
Splinter Cell: Conviction after Alan Wake.
FFXIII in 3rd and Singularity somewhere close.

Really weird list tbh. Don't think SS4 should be in there, nor Medal of Honour, and loads of other much better games left out!.
Once a proper poll (and list appears!!) I will make a better decision.

Single player wise, Heavy Rain, Mafia 2, God of War 3 and FF13 easily the best 4 for me.

Multi player wise, BFBC2 or Black Ops .

Bad Company 2 for me

I play a lot of Bad Company 2 so this is my FPS game of the year

But in terms of actual game of the year, I would have to share it between :

Red Dead Redemption and Mass Effect 2

Mass effect 2 just wasn’t as good as the 1st game

And if BFBC2 had a even slightly average single player the fantastic multi player would have make it game of the year, but it doesn’t so it not.

Played pretty much all and i have to go with Mass Effect 2 hands down.

Well mine is a bit of a suprise but I think its got to be;

Alpha Protocol.

Nothing has quite reminded me of Deus Ex as that game. Runner-up is Heavy Rain.
