2010 iPhone

I could see them releasing a 64 gb iphone....but dual core?? lol ermm they actually need to put a dual core to multi task??...hell old smartphones with slow cpu's can multi task without the need for dual cores.

Like i said its just rubbish rumours...although it will be interesting to see what apple does next with the iphone.

That's why they're slow and clunky :p

Shape wise I dont see them changing much. Probably larger screen with OLED technology with higher Res. Probably front facing camera for chat, and a better camera with some sort of flash.

Dual core? If they're willing to put in a battery the size of Cuba, then yes, by all means they will, but people might actually think twice about lugging a country around in their pocket. Feasible if they're clocked at low speeds, but then it would have to work hard anyway to deal with what the user would want it to do?

Oh, and apple will probably introduce this new fangled feature called 'multi-tasking' that is so cool and new and hip. Remember cut and paste anyone?

OS 4.0 which will probably make older iphones run slower (OS 3.0 did to some extent).

Memory, I'm sure I read an article that the flash chip used for the memory was successfully doubled in capacity by the manufacturer, so be on the look out for 128gb iphones and ipod touches.

4G...probably, new standards of wifi/connectivity etc.

New touch screen technology, don't put it past apple to push the boundarys and make something that will have the fan boys worshipping the thing like a god.

Battery will more than likely not be removeable, and theyll make it harder to jailbreak with additional hardware more than likely.

Expect upgrade in services for the iphone or something new entirerly. Mobile Me, Nike + stuff like that.

Basically, you know, what they've done for the last 3 years on the trot, just update something newer thats just as slick, that people will queue around the block for, and moan and whine about how they cant get one because their current contract is still going.
Sorry, I just find it funny people try to get out of a contract they signed up for knowing it was for X months and are shocked when they realise it's pretty hard to or they'll have to fork over money to do it.

Just my 2 pence :)

Everytime a new iphone comes out there are rumoured spec lists a mile long with only very few things actually appearing on the phone, i'd like it to have an oled screen, 5mp camera with flash and native multi tasking, with the oled screen providing better battery life. Then it would be technically equivalent to many other smartphones.

TBH i hope it doesn't allow multi tasking. It is a pain going in to a task manager all the time to stop apps.

My guess is:

1: They'll add a flash to the same duff 3mp camera.
2: Add an AMOLED screen but keep the same res because of app compatibility.
3: Add a Wireless-N module (so they can say its faster).
4: Put in more internal storage as that's easy
5: Again fail to add flash support.
6: Continue to fleece the monkey's that buy them and laugh.

LOL well my BB 9700 multi tasks very nicely with a 600+mhz;)...not slow and clunky.

Will never happen....apple for some odd reason dont want flash...

aye the odd reason of charging people for apps so that they can access things that flash would give them :D

it needs higher res screen and multi tasking and camera flash just to compete with the competition

to make people want to pay a HUGE amount for it its going to need something more. what that is i dont know

It isn't exactly old though is it spawn?

Ok well my 9000 BOLD multi tasks without miminum of fuss;)...thats about 2 yrs old now.

Point being is that no phone needs a dual core cpu lol..thats just stupid and ridiculous....unless the iphone is now a high end gaming machine:p

The iPhone 3GS 32GB is definitely a beast of a device, so many apps and possibilities, I'd always feel a certain 'lack' by switching to anything inferior.

May be a good time to sell it now though, before prices really start falling, and put the money towards the 2010 when it's released. Should still get £500-600 for it :D
