Hi, I think you have plate envy, and I will change it in three. I would never be seen dead in a BMW or a Merc, there is nothing special in the same price range that is new. Infact you'd be paying more for something less reliable :-)

Trust me, drive the new Focus before you comment.

I was staying out this but.. did you really just say that? You've just bought a Ford Focus - a nice car, but certainly nt on the sort of level where you can go around saying you wouldnt be seen dead in the previous model, or a Punto or something. Within weeks there will be 800,000 rental Focus on the roads with Enterprise stickers on anyway.

Both my partner and myself always change every three years and we get such a good deal

That is clearly a matter of opinion.

This is the most misleading and irritating factoid ever.

The 3 Series only outsold the Mondeo because the Mondeo is a Saloon/Hatchback or an Estate.

The 3 Series is a Saloon, an Estate, a Cabrio and a Coupe. Compare like with like and Ford sold more Mondeos.

More 3 series were sold than mondeo's. regardless of the reason for it (being model variants) this is a fact. this means they were more common than the mondeo, right or wrong?

I'm actually laughing you've spent nearly £20,000 to make people like me jealous. I'm also assuming it's on finance seeing as though it's every 3 years you change cars.

I've driven one, whilst it is a decent drive with good handling, it is still a Focus. Drive a lot of other cars and they are a LOT better. And plate envy on a Focus

It's a meaningless and misleading statement.

Shock as a combination of saloon, estate, coupe and cabriolet are more common than just a saloon and estate.

Its like the con that is saying the Toyota Corolla is the best selling car in the history of the world. Technically true but only when you consider there are about 10 completely different cars all badged Corolla..

Hi, my apologies but I thought I was being more tactful than some of the replies.
I'll let them get on with it, we have a difference of opinion, however it isn't me making personal comments.
I will post up pictures of my, better than a German car, Ford Focus, when I have it in about 12 weeks times.
