Hi, I've brought one, £19k for a 1.6 ecoboost Titanium X with tri-coat Candy Red, Sony Premium Multimedia Pack and Appearance Pack. Has to be factory ordered thus I'll have to wait around 12 weeks.
Chris

Be sure to post up some pics when you get it.

I wouldn't drop £19k on one though.

Hi, I change my car every three years and there are too many Mk4's around now, as there will be with the Focus in the same time period. The Mk4 is a little too big as it is mainly me just driving around town with the occassional once a year trip to Yorkshire. I don't think £19k is too much for the one I'm getting as it would be £16307 without the additional gadgets. I'm coming from a Titanium X Mondy that I only paid £18k for new, however I can't get anyway near £19 with less features.

I will post pictures when I get it...

To be fair, i'm not going to flame. The Focus has a history of being a good car, and it's not like he had the choice of going used.

Plus Ecoboost is just hippy marketing, what he's really got is the 1.6T which has 150bhp, just like the 2.0 did. Plus 8.3s to 60 is hardly poor.

Enjoy!

[Edit] I do wish they'd gone with at least five cylinders for the ST though, despite the small hike in bhp.

Hi, £19k is around £4k less than Ford quote. Only hypocrites buy a car for the environment anyway, I'm getting the performance and the mpg, all the testers say this is the best engine. Wonderful looks and interior, even better in the flesh and has much more toys as standard compared to the boring/bland looking Mk2.5 and even the tiny and upright looking Mk1. I'm going from a Mk4 Mondeo however if you don't like it don't buy it, simple.

I'm not worried, they're only jealous ;-) Going to to be the car of the year in 2012..

You do know that in 3 years time it's going to be worth about £7-8000 yes?

You've just droppped £19,000 on an ordinary hatchback. And that's all it is, ordinary. Plus the fact that you haven't even driven one yet!!

£12k would get you a very tidy Focus ST-2/3 if you wanted 'performance'.

Cant stand the interior.

Ford boss, "what can we do to stand out"
Ford designer, "lets turn all the air vents on there side".
Claps all round.

Cant believe the price of these cars, considering what you could get thats a year or so old for the same money.

Hi, what I do with my money is my business, although I'm getting 12k for my mondeo that cost me 18k three years ago, I know where to get the deals. I don't want a old looking ST that everyone will try to race or steal. Who say's I've not driven one yet. Do you know something I don't, drove one a couple of weekends ago, thanks. I suggest those who doubt its ability to do so.
At the end of the day it is my choice, I certainly wouldn't be seen dead in an old common Focus or a Punto rofl. Both my partner and myself always change every three years and we get such a good deal that there always will be residual...

Don't knock the new focus interior until you've sat in one. I really liked it. I can't get on with the exterior though.

Exactly. The new Ford Focus will be all too common in 1 year and he'll just blend in with the crowd and not be anything special that he thinks he is with his shiny new 11 plate.

Want to feel a bit special? Stop ****ing money up the wall on brand new cars and buy a BMW, Merc. Then at least you have something half decent to be proud of.

But don't get me wrong, I do like Ford.. i've owned a Focus and Mondeo and think they are great cars, but I wasn't under the impression that I was driving anything special.
