2012 Mac Mini

Mine is ok BUT

1 - problem still not resolved with washed out colours using both DVI and HDMI (Using Gamma control app to correct this)

2 - HDMI - HDMI - still have issue with blackouts / snow / washed out colours

that is with the updated firmware, hope it fixes the colour with the 10.8.3 version since I have heard it does otherwise its going back to Apple before the "holiday period" which I think ends sometime in January.

Small dent on mini

Ive had my mini from new for about 6 weeks now, ive just had a desk re-shuffle due to a new monitor and noticed this slight dent at the botton just below the apple logo :(

Is the case quite soft aluminum? I defiantly didnt drop anything on it, must have been like it since new-any advice on what to do about it? Its my first Mac :( Would apple swap it?

No as it even though probably Accidental e.t.c it is still user inflicted. Why would they replace it?

:D just bought a lastest mac mini base model i5 for £315 from Apple Hong Kong with 25% staff discount. I'am planning to install 16GB of RAM and move that 500Gb Harddrive to the bottom bay then have a M4 256GB SSD on top.

Amazing price! :D

I love mine (though I stumped the extra for quad core) it does everything I want it to perfectly :)

Only problem is that blutooth mouse and trackpad have been naff in windows via bootcamp, wondering if anyone else has encountered it/has a fix??

I use the HDMI output on my 2012 Mac Mini. Sometimes when I come back to the Mini after having had the TV use another HDMI input (Blu-ray, satellite, etc) or had the TV off, I find that the Mini has changed it's audio output. By itself, it has changed the audio output from HDMI to the internal speaker/headphone jack/soundflower.
I guess it is doing this because, as far as it cares, when the TV was on another HDMI input the Mini no longer could see that the output device existed, and switch audio output to something that still existed. That's all well and good, but now that the TV has come back into existance I would like the Mini to switch back to TV for audio output.

Any ideas?
