Ah, I didn't realise the BBC coverage of that outdoor season had started. I can only take so much of that indoor nonsense.

I'm surprised to Isinbayeva in the pole vault, I thought her 'mojo' had well and truly gone in recent years, and she would retire.

She changed back to her first coach a couple of years a go so seems to be getting back into it. But she said the other day that Moscow will decide if she calls it a day or not.

The bar is at 4.50 at the moment and she's yet to jump, still under her towel I think.

Despite already being World and Olympic champion, I've not really paid any attention to Kirani James. In fact the 400metres hasn't interested me much since Michael Johnson and Roger Black were running :D.

This impressive chap should make me pay some more attention to it this season. He looks quick.

Veronica Campbell-Brown has testes positive on both A & B for a banned diuretic. *sigh*

Yea saw that the other day, it's always a shame when some tests positive especially someone so high profile :(

I'm off to watch he first day of the European Team Championships on Saturday, hopefully should be a good day, although I've heard the weather isn't going to be great.

7 out of the top 10 performers of all time have either served drugs bans or strongly implicated (eg Maurice Greene)

And of the ones that are left I think all of them have at least had one of their 'training group' test positive

Bolt is just a matter of time. I was laughed at on here when I said the same about Gatlin a few years ago. One day they will mess up.

It's so disappointing when this happens.

I really do hope Bolt is never implicated, it would be incredibly damaging to Athletics if he was.

there's only one thing more depressing than athletes doping and that's that miserable **** andrew cotter commentating on the tv. **** off back to the golf and leave us alone.:p

Bolt vs Farah confirmed.

I've always wanted to see Bolt run the 400m so it'll be interesting to see his split assuming he does actually gun it.

I would really like to see this happen, a really interesting comparison of the differences in human physiological specialisation for their respective events.

Over 400 I'd give it to Bolt but 600 it's Farah all the way, it's about a 100 to far for Bolt.

Is this really all there is on this forum in terms of athletics discussion? Honestly can't believe it! haha.

Well done yet again, Mo. Everyone in the field playing right into his hands yet again though.

Great determination and super performance from Eilish in the womens SC also, and good to see our 800 guys through as well.

The crowd/atmosphere and everything about it is just so odd and dull though even in comparison to DL meets never mind last year in London. Disappointing but should not deter any amazing performances over the championship :)
