New Manchester United manager David Moyes will be the centre of attention as he steps into Sir Alex Ferguson's shoes for the traditional game between last season's Premier League champions and FA Cup winners at Wembley. Moyes will be expected to win his first piece of silverware in his first major game as United boss. Wigan are also under new management - Owen Coyle having succeeded their FA Cup-winning manager Roberto Martinez. Following Wigan's relegation from the Premier League, it will be the first time since 1980 that a team outside the top flight has featured in the Community Shield.

Looking forward to this, just for the whole Moyes first proper game etc

2-0 Utd

Fabregas and Kagawa

This'll be boring.

It probably will be but then we all get a real good look at Moyes and how he manages Utd.

Wouldnt be surprised if Wigan pull off a shocker and nab the Community shield:p...would be absolutely hilarious:p

It will be interesting to see how Manchester United line up under Moyes in a competitive game, even against lower league opposition.

I'm just waiting Dave '****' Whelan to start talking about breaking his leg in a cup final .

I think we will still see squad rotation for fitness, he has hinted at this heavily already.

I don't think it's going to be a game to judge us nor the manager on, but I spec it'll get people up in arms at least.

He was on SSN and in the background he had the FA Cup on display or the plate that the team gets when they win it. Funny guy and owner i have admit, such a media whore he is.

Nani, Rooney & Young not travelling.

I await to see the team before I stick out a prediction, but I think there's a little part of it that will still be used 'for fitness' so games might be spread about...
