2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying/International Friendlies 14 November *** Spoilers ***

Ludicrous that he is able to score like that from there. The first game they play in their new stadium and their captain and one of the greatest players they have ever produced scores 4 and and tops it off with an absolute stunner.

To be fair to Hart the pitch is dodgy as **** and the bounce slightly did him but why he was out of the box god knows. Truly stunning goal from Zlatan as well.

If you haven't read it yet, get his Biography, well worth a read and really funny guy

Only a select few players in the world would've gone for that shot & pulled it off. He's one of them (unfortunately)

I think he's too arrogant for my taste but you can't deny he's (probably)one of the top ten players in Europe right now.

As good as Ibra is, England are totally hopeless at going forwards.

Go wide, cross, headed away, lose the ball.
Go wide, cross, headed away, lose the ball.

All sodding night.

Can't we tell them to keep it on the deck, to try to go past defenders, and not keep crossing in hopeful balls when it clearly isn't working?

I have a feeling that the arrogance/ego is what allows him to pull off such performances. That utter belief that he can do pretty much anything, combined with the fact that he has some amazing ability means he does amazing things like this.

It also means that sometimes he performs average...overperforming as such. Not tonight though.

It's a similar situation with Ronaldo, I guess.

zlatans quotes are also legendary :D

When sat in a press conference, one reporter asked the Swede why he had scratches and scars on his face.

Zlatan reportedly commented:

"Well...I don't know... you'll have to ask your wife about that."

Jose Mourinho is a big star…He’s cool. The first time he met [my wife] he whispered to her: ‘Helena, you have only one mission. Feed Zlatan, let him sleep, keep him happy!’ The guy says what he wants. I like him.

When asked if he had found a house in Paris yet – “We are looking for an apartment. If we don’t find anything, then I’ll probably just buy the hotel.”

:D

When asked what he got his wife for her birthday – “”Nothing, she already has Zlatan.”

A female reporter joked that Zlatan was gay due to a photo of him hugging Pique. He replied – “Come to my house and you’ll see if I’m gay. And bring your sister.”

First goal, while a little bit gifted was good movement and well, you could toe poke a chance like that anywhere, he didn't, he put it in the corner and got great power for that kind of shot, still class. Second was fantastic, third was rather gifted, fourth, I could see it coming a mile away as soon as Hart was going to win it he backed off and I knew he would try and hit that in, phenomenal, nothing short of phenomenal.

Just catching Merson on Sky news saying he meant it and it was brilliant but when asked about Zlatan not being consistent he was pratting on about the french league being easy and a change in Zlatan being older and more mature. Read his biography I would say, he's always been good, he was very good at Barca but his worst period(with still a VERY good score/assist rate) was pretty much the only time in his career he was being "mature" and being nice and not making a scene. He got over that and I would say the time when he stopped taking **** from Guardiola was the time he went from really god damned good but a little inconsistent, to just flat out brilliant.

The other stupid thing is people suggesting Messi and Ronaldo never have bad games or don't score in some games, neither is remotely true.

Will that put an end to a "he can't do it against English teams" though? Can you get more English or perform any better on the night :p

England, barely worth talking about, Welbeck on the wing, lol, he constantly tries little flicks and back heels, sure now and then one works but, one stage he flicked it over the man, not hard no one behind him the accuracy involved was it could land anywhere for 30 metres beyond the player. Ran onto it, well done, needs a accurate 5 yard simple pass.... messes it up, Welbeck in a nut shell really. Anyone can flick it into masses of space, the 5 yard pass being right 99% of the time is something most players can do and Welbeck can't at all.

Wilshire seemed to be fouled constantly when he came on, Sterling seemed to go down overly easy pretty often. Defensively, not very good, offensively, boring basically. Welbecks interplay sucks, Gerrard for some reason had one of his Speed nights, as in pass it under 50mph and a bus will explode. So many times a simple well weighted pass would have worked and he just smashed it for absolutely no reason.

We don't have anything close to the quality of Zlatan and with the defensive show we put on tonight Zlatan in that form, we were never going to win.
