2015 6 Nations

Wales dominating at the moment, Ireland need to regroup and get back in it!

edit: and Ireland have responded, second half should be good! :)

Incredible refereeing at the end there.

Ireland shouldn't have left the game in the hands of the ref though, those two failures at the one yard line was pathetic

as the commentators mentioned, the Irish forwards had try fever and Reddan failed to act decisively. I thought Wayne Barnes had a very poor game but credit to Wales, they defended very well. Ireland paid for a horrible first 15 minutes.

So strange supporting Wales. Absorbing game and incredible defence from Wales.

Was surprised Ireland didn't have more tricks to unlock them, their attack was surprisingly dimensional when it turned out their kicking game wouldn't be enough.

In the buildup there Gabby asked Conor Murray if he thought their game plan was a bit rigid which (based on the championship so far) he rightly scoffed at, but turns out Gabby was right!

i do not recall barnes ever having a good game, there are always awful decisions at various points, he made it to halfway today, then messed up half of the second half.
He wasnt meant to be reffing ireland again after the rubbish against france, but the austrialian who was meant to ref had business commitments.

Anyway, grumpy, but such is life, ireland lost the match today with some bloody awful play.

I was in the Millenium Stadium today for the match, great crowd, great atmosphere, awful game. The Irish forwards were lacklustre, no effort was displayed to get themselves around the corner to stretch the Welsh, The Welsh defence was excellent but that was about it, neither team played much rugby, Wales were undoubetedly the better team but as a neutral it was a poor match. Barnes was a bit variable and as mentioned above the Irish forwards butchered a massive backline overlap in the last 10 minutes where any pass to the backs must surely have scored. They also squandered kicks they took and should have kicked some they aimed at the corner.

We must like different things about rugby, I'm not Welsh or Irish and I thought it was a great game to watch

The first 40 minutes no doubt coloured my thinking, practically no rugby was played. The period of excellent defence was exciting and the Welsh try was good. My Welsh friends loved it but it left me flat, I think watching a lot of super rugby is changing my tastes.I would certainly have rather played rugby yesterday than watched that match.

edit: just watched England vs Scotland error strewn and exciting. It was nice seeing so much running, so many line breaks and some offloading even if most of it was botched in the end.

Expected a close game, put a couple of quid on a draw which had potential up until 30 mins! What a pile of crap to watch though. Commentators were begging it to end. I watched Wales v Ireland U20s which was a sloppy game but looked perfect in comparison to this.
