2015 Goals

Might as well get involved, by April 4th hoping for an ambitious 300kg total for reps. Probably end up something like:

Squats 5x5 100kg
Bench 5x5 80kg
Deadlifts 1x5 120kg

Doubt ill make it but worth a shot, requires no stalls in any of them!

Following on from this style. Spend the next month (March) getting to where I was August 2014 (didn't do anything really Sep/Oct/Nov/Dec due to finishing degree/too cold :))

Current:
Squats 5x5 115kg
Bench 5x5 95kg
Deadlifts 1x5 135kg

End of March:
Squats 5x5 120kg
Bench 5x5 100kg
Deadlifts 1x5 145kg

August 2015:
Squats 5x5 135kg
Bench 5x5 110kg
Deadlifts 1x5 160kg

I'm lighter than I was in August 2014 (about half a stone) so I plan to be lighter and stronger by August.

4/4/2015:

Get my routine and diet sorted out properly and have good consistency. Sounds petty and easy, but its something I lacked first time round, diet often yo-yo'd between spot on or way under/awful macros.

Overall 2015 Goals:

300lb deadlift
225lb squat

Should be easily doable, both were very close to that (97.5kg squat and 125kg deadlift) before I injured myself - if I've done it before I can do it again! Will update within a few months, I hope ;)

Going well at the moment - under 100kg body weight and seeing a bit of ab popping through which is nice! In quite a deficit so my lifts have went down but I'm not too fussed, managed 170kg for 8 reps Deadlifting yesterday which is okay I guess.

Genuinely want to see how far I can take this cut.

Bumpy bump - anyone still game for this? Have managed 150x1 so x3 will be easy :o

Definitely still in for this, only 4 sessions left for me before a rest period and then the test at the Push-Pull. Shame there's no squatting going on but I've put all my focus into bench and deadlifts purely for the competition. Hopefully the work pays off.

Improve my sl5x5 weights just really got going with over bw on squats (80kg yesterday & 78kg bw) and really starting to feel the areas that are lacking, back and core for one always like that is the bit thats starting to go on me at the end of the later sets, also arms keeping the weight stating on my back stopping it from slipping down is becoming tough

Drop bf% Just getting this far im starting to see the benefits that are coming with broader shoulders and actually have legs rather than being a fat human chicken wing but im not seeing any drop in bf% even with added cardio on non lift days, 20-21% bf still looks wrong despite the gains, but I dont feel like im lifting enough yet to consider a true cut.

Keep my handicap, i dropped 2 shots in the last medal down to 15 which was my yearly goal so I would really like to just keep it there

210+ squats
Over 250 deads
Better shoulder health
Maintain weight or at least body fat and potentially increase in muscle mass.
Improve general mobility further.

210 squats - on target for that. Got 205 with more in the tank.

Got my 250kg deadlift - and we still have a lot of the year to go

Shoulder health is getting better - lots of physio and improvements are forthcoming

Bodyweight is staying the same and generally okay.

Mobility is maintaining rather than getting better.

My 2015 goals:

Reduce waist circumference (measured just under belly button at widest point) to 34"
January 5th : 40" (was ~44" in September)
March 27th: 37.25" - on track
Current BWT ~90kg.

Bench press 120kg
Lifetime PB 115kg May 2010 @ 96kg BWT
January 9th: 100kg
Current: have done 8 x 95kg, so progress good

Deadlift 227.5kg (500 lbs)
Lifetime PB is 215kg from October 2011 @ 102kg BWT. Best recent straight bar pull is 170kg x 2 (with more in the tank) in December 2014.
Current: have done 195kg from trap bar low handles @ ~92kg BWT. This goal is going to be one for the second half of the year after I've finished dieting. Trap bar doesn't count for this goal - has to be sumo/conventional on a straight bar, no straps/hitching.

Front squat 160kg (350 lbs)
March 15th: 130kg (first ever attempt at a 1RM)
As with deadlift, this will be one for the second half of the year I think.

Run a sub-26 minute 5K
I completed Couch to 5K on 10th January with a 33:41 Parkrun and ran sub-26 mins at the end of February. Yay!

Run a sub-24 minute 5K
March 21st: 24:47
May have to revise this goal again in the next couple of months.

Run the Oxford Town & Gown 10K (10th May)
Undecided on my goal time. In 2007 @ ~80kg BWT I ran it in 54:37, so I'd like to beat that at the very least. Sub-50 would be ace but is probably a bit ambitious. Goal TBC.

...done :o Should have been a bit more ambitious! Deads are getting there, at a calculated 120kg 1RM - will probably test it out tomorrow.

Tested 1RMs for deads after my workout, managed 137.5kgs! Might have had higher if Id tested my 1RMs next week after resting from todays lifts, but my gym is closed all of next week and I couldnt wait!

Need to set some new goals now...

Lets be a bit more ambitious...

350lbs squat and 400lbs deadlift by the end of the year :)

Nice lifting Cookeh! Hit those goals super early haha.
Your new goals look tough, but achievable! All the best for the next leg of your journey!
May the gains be with you.

Squats from 110kg to 150kg.
Deadlifts from 130kg to 180kg or 200kg 1RM.
OHP from 45kg to 60kg.
Weight from 170lbs to 200lbs to 180lbs.

Not entirely sure how feasible those goals are but I'll try!

I'll test my 1RMs end of April as I'm going away on holiday beginning of May for 16 days. Hopefully I won't lose too much gains!

But as of now I'm on track for my squats. Deadlifts and OHP are a bit behind. And weight wise, I'll probably be just looking at the 200lbs by end of year.
I did have a mini cut 2 months ago, so hopefully deads and OHP will be on the up from here.
