2015 Goals

Hahaha. Mine's laughable.

Squats from 110kg to 150kg.
Deadlifts from 130kg to 180kg or 200kg 1RM.
OHP from 45kg to 60kg.
Weight from 170lbs to 200lbs to 180lbs.

Not entirely sure how feasible those goals are but I'll try!

Squats have gone absolutely nowhere (was my strongest mid year but dipped again).

Deadlifts are the only thing that's been ok but not near my goal. Up to 165kg for 3x3. Will test my 1RM in 3 weeks (maybe 180kg).

OHP to 50kg.

Weight for the entire year has been hovering 77-79kg. My core has definitely improved, as well as my back in general, bf% down slightly but everything else.. :(

Not the most specific goals but signed up to my first ever Tough Mudder in August and hoping to do Para 10 TAB in September too, seeing how I still can't run with my weight post ACL reconstruction should make the training interesting in the next 9 months.

Goals
Squat: 270/300
Dead: 300/300

Bench: 162.5/170

Close on the bench, bit off on the squat but it was by far the biggest goal! The two I missed will continue over until next year :)

I have several goals in mind (mostly lifting and taking up running related) but possibly have an op at the start of Feb so I'm probably going to hold off on deciding anything until then. Definitely want to get running regularly though, maybe a half marathon...and finally stop cutting to put on some damn lean mass.

Failtastic.

Managed a bit of running but gave up because running sucks in comparison to cycling and lifting.

I've definitely put on a fair bit of lean mass. Sadly that has come along with quite a lot of fat mass. Concentrating on leaning out again for the rest of this year and the start of the next.

Managed a 209 mile 24 hour ride this year. Goal for the next is to complete 300 miles in a single ride (hopefully less than 24 hours but I won't mind if it ends up as 26/28 or something).

I wouldn't mind getting a bit more bulk on my arms but generally I'd prefer to just get leaner at this point. My strength is definitely a lot better than it was at this point last year.

On the subject of leaner, I'd like to improve my w/kg substantially - getting to below 80kg and a slight improvement in FTP should do that job, so it's not a particularly ambitious goal.

Improve my sl5x5 weights just really got going with over bw on squats (80kg yesterday & 78kg bw) and really starting to feel the areas that are lacking, back and core for one always like that is the bit thats starting to go on me at the end of the later sets, also arms keeping the weight stating on my back stopping it from slipping down is becoming tough

Drop bf% Just getting this far im starting to see the benefits that are coming with broader shoulders and actually have legs rather than being a fat human chicken wing but im not seeing any drop in bf% even with added cardio on non lift days, 20-21% bf still looks wrong despite the gains, but I dont feel like im lifting enough yet to consider a true cut.

Keep my handicap, i dropped 2 shots in the last medal down to 15 which was my yearly goal so I would really like to just keep it there

Still a few weeks left but I dropped down to 10 handicap this year so by far better than just keeping.

As for the rest.

My body weight and fat is down at 74kg and under 19% bf now. Lifts are up a little bit to 90kg 5x5 and 120kg for singles but more importantly form is a mile better getting lower and major posture improvements. Its not always about the amount you lifting but how your doing it.

Looking back its been a good first year at the gym I read it takes a year of working out just to retrain your body into doing things right and learning what to and what not to do. Im looking forward to next year really grinding out some weights and reps now ive got some experiance

2016 Goals
Big thing would be to get down to 8 handicap but in terms of gym Id like to break into the mid teens this summer for bodyfat I think getting down to 14/15% is easily feasible while continuing to grow. Id like to keep getting the main lifts up still getting to 1.5x bodyweight on the squat and hopefully bodyweight on the bench press for 5x5.

Well last year went quite well.

5K 21.12 / 18.52
10K 46.07 / 40.43
Half Marathon 1.38.23 / 1.30.11

Next year the aim is

Sub 18:30 5K
Sub 39:00 10K
Sub 1:28:00 Half Marathon
Sub 3:15 Marathon (Although it is currently 3:56:xx!!)

Also want to start swimming and cycling again and aim to do another Triathlon.

Edited as my Marathon PB is actually 3:56:xx and not 4:13:00.

No PB for 5K
40.11 10K
1.29.27 Half Marathon
3.07.06 Marathon

Not what I wanted for the shorter distances but in hindsight it was probably a bit of an ask to drop them to much when focusing on the marathon for the most part. Marathon went really well though and couldn't be happier with the result. :)
