2017 Chilli Growing - feel the burn!

Hmm, put my chillis out to enjoy the hot weather, on one the fruit has been proper chomped, can only think it was a bird or maybe a rodent but I've heard birds dont feel the heat.

Another plant seems to have withered despite another part in the same part being fine.

Made some awesome sweet pear &a pineapple hot sauce with three Trinidad scorpion pods :D

Taste goes.. pear, bit of pineapple then boom heat numb tongue and then pear and hits of chilli.. and after the long burn final aftertaste is clean with hints of chilli.

Some of my Cayennes have turned red so tried one - I reckon it's hotter than the scotch bonnets I had the other year- Pheww

Did a bit of thinning out - Cayenne and Jalapeno have done well but the Serrano's have been a bit slow - now have 6-8 small ones growing well.

I thought Scotch Bonnets were hot but these Cayenne are hotter I think - had to spit it out which I didn't do with Scotch Bonnets - The Jalapenos are also hot even in the green stage but it says on the packet the seeds came in the Serrano's are hotter - will have to wait and see.

Any chance of you posting a recipe, that sounds nice - though I'd probably use scotch bonnets :)

Harvested a good batch of super and cayenne chillies, plus some sweet peppers last weekend.

Had a week in Devon and realised we were very close to the South Devon Chilli Farm where I purchased seeds from mail-order, so called in. Very much worth a visit, with lots of chilli flavoured food to try in the shop - chocolate, sauces, chutneys etc. Their show tunnel is great, such an array of colours and sizes.

Purchased some seeds for next year, chocolate and other goodies.

Man I loved growing chilli's
I spent so much money back in 2014 on chilli seeds,
I planted 40 or so seed's, and they germinated
And then my father decided to leave them outside of my greenhouse 1 night and they all died
I haven't grown any since
