I think it is a very well specced car for the price. Nappa leather, quality materials throughout, well designed interior from the reviews, v6 and LSD. It is only the residuals (and infotainment system, but has carplay and android auto) that may be off putting, but it looks like you can get 9% knocked off purchase price already.

I find the infotainment in a Kia pretty good, and not very laggy if at all after startup.

Ultimately though as fast and well specced as it is, it is still a Kia and the people spending this kind of money on this type of car are unlikely to find that an attractive proposition.

At sub 30k it might make more sense but even if discounted from 40-30 on deals, average to poor Kia residuals will not likely make it favourable on lease or PCP.

Heard recently that even the sport trim level on the 4 cylinder models will come with quad exhausts

Just when things were going seemingly well for Kia.

Not really comparable though, when the Stinger is 2 years old it will be much cheaper than a 2yr old M5. Look how much a brand new M5 was at release, or still is.

Obviously that's just comparing the rrp, other factors weigh in favour of either car.

I was under the impression that Kia's held their value pretty well compared to similar other cars?

This site is one I use, seems pretty accurate on residuals etc when I was looking into a load of cars and getting PCP quotes, residuals normally came out within a couple of hundred.

Its quite interesting how different models in the same range can have quite different residuals as well.

So take the cheapest stinger, £31k to £14k (obv rrp for £31k) so 3 years 30k thats 45% residual, thats pretty normal

M5, £88k to £37k, 42% residual

Focus RS, £35.5k to £17k, 48%

Cheapest focus £20k to £6.7!k, 34%!!

308Gti, £28 to £9.5k, 34%

You can see the rarity and reputation effect there ;)

are these now on the road ?
neighbours a Kia fan - cee'd GT suspiciously disappeared, and after seeing a TV add, I suspect one of these will turn up

OK - I'll get my camera ready,
I hadn't realised they are RWD so this and upcoming snow for an unacustomed driver maybe interesting.

Drove passed one of these on the way to work yesterday, looked decent, didn’t seem to stand out as much like it seems in the pics, but pretty decent from the Kia brand, only ever really liked their sportage

I did seriously consider one of these. But there were absolutely no discounts available on carwow, I had 3 dealers contact me back, and all were offering list price. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much cash on a Kia. No way the residuals are going to be strong with this, no matter how much fun its supposed to be.
