Hmm, not sure it's doing much sound proofing.
The fibrous stuff on the bonnet is doing that.
They are as it’s a denser material ideal for injector/valvetrain high pitch noises baffled at source, rather than generic engine whir the bonnet line can only do so much to above the surface of the cover.


... the back end shifts around a little on a full bore launch in the dry.
