I already think it’s too late. Watford, Burnley and Norwich have been for the drop for weeks now.

Had Burnley beaten us (Norwich) they'd only be a point behind Everton, with a softer looking set of remaining matches, so I don't think that's true. Watford and Norwich are both a lost cause at this point, but Burnley getting ahead of Everton still seems unlikely rather than fanciful.
 
This is desperation from the new owners surely. Didn't they buy the club with debt and are banking on Premier League payments? I can quite easily see back to back relegations and a really messy financial situation.
Yep, they bought the club with the clubs own cash plus debt. If Burnley go down and don't bounce straight back up again then it could be a very long time before Burnley are challenging for promotion. Not that I'm complaining.
