The quote below is from .Gov. I'm not sure where the above figures are from considering it is titled VED for cars registered between "2001 and 2017". What about "2018 to 2024"?

"This measure will uprate the Vehicle Excise Duty standard rates for cars, vans, motorcycles and motorcycle trade licences (excluding the first-year rates for cars) by the Retail Price Index, and will reflect the inclusion of zero-emission vehicles in Vehicle Excise Duty from 1 April 2025."

I didn’t include that because OP specifically mentioned their 2015 diesel.
Further details are in the source link provided.

Then there's the added "luxury tax" to cars which are retailed over £40k new, for the first 5 years I think?
This was the real stinger with my new company car. They were really happy with the deal I got on the car (<£25k) but it came under the revised pricing by the time it was registered so ended up with a P11D of £40080. That extra £80 will end up costing the company a fortune!

Do pre Apr 2006 cars still top out at band K in 2025? I can't find any information on this from a cursory look. I can only find the current rates with an asterisk next to band K.

My old, non-DPF diesel still cheeses in to the £35 category by 1g/km :D

I think I might start SORNing my nice car for winter. So the gov gets as little as possible from me.

TBH the ultimate goal is to make everyone reliant on public transport. Which would be ok if we were Japan or Switzerland. But we're the UK and public transport only gets more rubbish as it gets more expensive.
