Wow, if that actually comes in at £799 I could be very tempted.
Me too. Many will say "only 100hz?!" but 100hz is more than enough for most. I'll wait for panel reviews first. Not interested if it has lots of BLB etc.

Interesting. I wonder where a good 980Ti would fit. Comfortable to say that it'd match or beat the 1070 results on an otherwise like for like system?I have the 29um65, got it about 4 years ago and unfortunately, the choice for 29" is still more or less the same as today as well as the pricing

1440P/110 PPI is nice but it won't make up for lower graphic settings.
Probably be about the same, might lose some and win some depending on the game.Interesting. I wonder where a good 980Ti would fit. Comfortable to say that it'd match or beat the 1070 results on an otherwise like for like system?
I hope it’s the right thread to ask. I was wandering how much time it can take 4k monitors that are 32” for their prices drop from current £650 - £900 to something like £300 - £400. I begin to think about upgrading my 27” monitor I got 4 years, but it’s too early for now because of the price and of course I want to move to 4k resolution. I wanted to know in how many years approximately it will become affordable for me?
I wonder how noticeable it is. I'm used to a £250 32" 1080p TV so any monitor is likely better than this. Thanks for posting that. That review just confirms for me that i dont want any type of VA panel. I cannot stand the black trails.

I'm starting to accept that if I truly want a 35" 21:9 super wide Gsync, I'm going to have to cough up. This screen looks pretty good to me, but at only £100 less than current X34A prices, it might be worth just coughing up and getting the better IPS display.
The £799 AOC isn't using Samsung, so I guess time will tell. I'm not going to rush into a ~£900 purchase (even though knowing my luck, the Acer will be £1k+ again when I do decide) so I'm happy for reviews, and a little competition to come in...I would choose the IPS.. ive had near perfect 29" 2560x1080 29um57 from LG. The only thing it had was a tiny bit of light bleed and i mean tiny and a minor tint of purplish glow if you looked from extreme angle. THe thing is you might get unlucky with an IPS and get the extreme IPS glow and Backlight bleed but its not for certain where as the VA will always have these trailing issues unless they somehow manage to fix the technologi.
EDIT: To be fair however, i think ive been pretty scared by the last va from samsung(second newest va model) that i owned so im most likely a bit biased towards all VAs in general.
