Just a quick excerpt :

"Baumgartner will join members of the crew for a light early dinner, but the food on his plate will be unique. For at least 24 hours before his jump, he must stick to a low-fiber diet prescribed by the mission’s medical team. It is vital for him to eat only foods that will clear his system quickly, without leaving residue that could create gas: a condition that can cause problems in the low-pressure of the stratosphere because it can expand in the body and cause serious discomfort. "

I look forward to seeing if the shockwave from breaking the sound barrier has any effect on his tragectory or if he does land safely his biology I can imagine the sound alone would be enough to at least perforate his eardrums!

Will there be any sound? I thought the only reason there is a sound with a jet is because its pushed through the air, Where he is jumping from its very thing/no air so will he have a sonic boom?

If Im wrong dont beat me.
