I suppose it's not a thread to discuss the adverts really... They were infuriating though.
Although I do feel the need to buy a Fiat 500 Abarth, a Rolex, a new Sparco race-suit, and I'm now quite interested in archery and solar boat racing.

The race has all merged into a tired blur for me now, but I distinctly remember one of the Porsche GT3s doors falling off once they lowered the jacks. Got a laugh from me.

There's a bit of moaning on the RLMS forum about the advertising on Fox Sports who showed the coverage for the Americans. Described exactly the same, so I wonder if they just used the same feed from the ACO.

Nope. Eurosport player had an uninterrupted feed going on but it had no commentary. No real problems there though. I had Radio Le Mans going instead.

They also had the pit lane camera and I think half a dozen in car cameras too - all uninterrupted by adverts.

About £300 each for two of us in one car: petrol, food, beer, Dover-Calais ferry, peage tolls, camping and general entry.

It's fairly cheap all things considered. We've used Travel Destinations for our trips who do packages including tunnel/ferry, camping and event tickets so you just need to budget for food, drink & fuel on top of that.

any idea of what each team has for a budget?

We spoke about budgets on page 1 - it was mentioned on RLM that Audi spent €1.5 million on food for the event

I know it was free, and fair enough but lemans.tv was ****** awful most of the time.

I got a feeling most of their camera shots were actually replays, ie it had already happened minutes ago iin r/t but were showing it (intentionally) delayed on the channel. Also the huge amount of time with talking heads in the studio.

Maybe it was the wrong way to approach it, but thought that would be a good way to gauge my interest for next year /the year after to actually pay for decent quality , but its turned me off completely (or I certainly expected it to be better than it was)
