The 5850 MSI deal was more popular and is still flying even now its a higher price. :D

So how does that compare to the GTX480? Is the GTX480 worth the extra £70? Getting very confusing the graphics card market right now, had my mind set on on a GTX560 then this deal comes along and now you're mentioning the 5850 deal  I want to play games at 1920x1080 on max settings if possible, should I immediately discount any of these based on those criteria?

The 5850 will manage that resolution with absolute ease. :)

lol, your fooling no one :)

Well, actually. I could have bought a couple. Use them, and then sell them later for the same price after they go back up or go completely EOL.

But I dont feel like I made the wrong choice with the 560s, no desire to send them back even though I can under the 7 days thing to get these instead.

The main reason I couldnt SLI two of these is because I already had a 4870 burn out, and if I'm going dual card, I dont want two really hot and power hungry cards again.

Bit of a dumb ? but..

Am running an Asus 470 with Zalman cooler clocked at stock 480 speed. Res is 1920x1200.

No problems to date so no need to change but..

Am twitching :o....

Somebody confirm that to upgrade to this would not be worth it ( or is it?)?

If you have anything less than a single GTX 480's performance, its a no brainer, order it now!

you need a minimum 600w quality psu

Its got nearly 100 more CUDA cores than the 560Ti i was looking at but power consumption for the 480 is staggering. On some reviews its nearly the total of my current PSU.

But for extra cores it might be worth upgrading my PSU, what do you guys think?

One thing I wonder is that the people who bought the MSI 5850s at £125, do any of them want one of these instead now?

If I wasnt such an upgrade aholic and still had my 5770s, I would have gotten a pair of those £125 5850s, but I wouldnt have wanted to change to these.

I just clicked on the Guru article on the SLI 560s:

http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-560-ti-sli-review/5

Theres not really a lot between two 560s and two 480s, the 480s are around 5-10 fps better than stock 560s for the extra power consumption.

If you arent bothered about power consumption / performance though, go nuts and order 2-4 GTX 480s.

Ordered :)

Replacing the GTX 570 within 2 weeks of getting it! Oh noes the upgrade bug is back!!

Man, dont do that! The GTX 570 is BETTER than a GTX 480!
